Mines a bit of a mess

She was never the most stable woman, but she did as much as she could for me and my brothers. It got to the point where she got arrested for obstructing Social Services for getting involved with myself, and when Social Services DID get hold of me, they basically almost always let her down.

Used to know her as an aunty not a mother until she passed when I was about 8. Only about two years ago did I get to really know her better. Social Services never did me any good either. They'd always restrict me from seeing family and, like said, never even really knew my mother until two years ago, at the age of 24

Don't let your past dictate your future, write your own script is all I can say. You;ve got a lot of living to do.

I will confess to treating my mother badly which was very wrong for me to do. So my best advice is to be kind to your mother. Don't be like me. Be better.

Ive always had that worry that if my mother was alive, I'd have had plentiful arguments growing up. My partner had them with hers. It's a natural part of growing up, you'll never be a perfect child to your parents but the least you can do is acknowledge the rights and wrongs they've done for you and appreciate or stand against them respectively.

I have learned to respect my mother and I will always respect her. Even if my mother was a bad person, I would still show the same amount of respect to her because she is the one who gave birth to me.
