The ultimate rocket spammer of all rocket spammers in the history of rocket spamming. And the world's most difficult boss to defeat...unless teamwork is involved!

A concept boss for a rocket barrage-type boss for Freak Fortress 2. Outdoor-type maps strongly recommended!

Keep in mind, due to high projectile counts, some players may or may not lag (or even experience clientside crashes).

  • HP Formula: ((((450+n)*(n-1))^1.04)+5120)/5 distributed over 5 lives
  • Rage Damage: 2500
  • Dependencies: Dynamic Defaults (.inc file required if compiling manually)

  • He carries a rocket launcher to deal damage, while he has an ubersaw and a market gardener to finish off cornered or nearby enemies. This ubersaw and market gardener is capable of backstabbing, so watch your back!
  • Use space to deploy your B.A.S.E Jumper if you are playing as him!

I know a lot of people are gonna cry OP for this, but don't forget, a medic + pyro uber combo are your strongest weapons in your team to deflect the rockets!

P.S It's HIGHLY unlikely this will get added, or even worked on for that matter, all I had done originally was copy/paste everything into a neat format. I'm still currently working on Sam Fisher and Richter as a boss for FF2. So it's very possible they will eventually get added later on.

I remember this boss. Due to BatFoxKids remake of the hale I think I would love this in the server. Willing to give a try!

I fought a similar Boss in a different VSH/FF2 server and it was great to fight against.

So yes, i want to see this boss on the FF2 server especially with the Custom Weapons for the Mercenaries.

There's many reasons this wouldn't work.

  • Visual effects - Blitzkrieg summons a lot of particle effects at once, which not only consumes a large amount of server resources but can also cause low quality computers to crash (which a lot of people playing tf2 have to be fair)
  • Sterilizing the meta - If people like the way Blitzkrieg plays (they will, it's a free dopamine kick) then the majority of bosses played will only be Blitzkrieg, and people really won't want to fight against the same boss over and over and over, especially considering the winrate of Blitzkrieg.
  • Mindless Gameplay - This boss can be played by literally anyone and can win. You don't want players to have to play hundreds of hours to get good at playing hale, nor do you want them to have to play no hours. By giving players an essential free win, it makes their desire to play to get good vanish. Experienced players would win 100% of the time as Blitzkrieg, as there are players who have put thousands of hours into FF2, which would crush any competent players no matter their skill level.
  • Teamwork? - The reason I've been calling it a "free win" through this post is because nobody on the FF2 server is going to work together to beat him. Nobody's tryharding on a Freak Fortress 2 server.. I hope. Good luck getting everyone to work together to kill it, cause you're more than likely going to end up with the usual 4 spies and a very harsh loss.

He's a fun boss and I've liked playing against and as him, but it just doesn't make for a boss on the Freak Fortress 2 server due to his many problems that I would dread having to fix myself.

He's a fun boss and I've liked playing against and as him, but it just doesn't make for a boss on the Freak Fortress 2 server due to his many problems that I would dread having to fix myself.

What about Batfoxkid's rework of the boss? It was that third link at the top I suggested.

And even then, I've been trying to learn how to make bosses, myself. Perhaps a mechanic to balance him around the amount of players present in the server similar to how health scaling works.

Good luck getting everyone to work together to kill it, cause you're more than likely going to end up with the usual 4 spies and a very harsh loss.

I'd like to point out that his excuse here is that "people don't play the game properly so adding this boss would make them lose"

it means people don't want to tryhard on an ff server just to kill 1 boss, much less do it multiple times because he would become the most played hale. people join ff to dick around and play like an idiot while still seeing success. there are a small minority who tryhard; those players alone wouldn't carry enough for a victory. when the team with the most players (RED) is losing more than the team with the least (BLU) then there's a clear imbalance of enjoyment. one bad player shouldn't be having more fun than a team of at most 31 players with varying skill levels. don't even get me started about an experienced player playing Blitzkrieg.

maybe if you paid more attention when playing the game or actually read my first post I wouldn't have to explain this to you

I'll have to toy with the rework; it looks promising. if Blitzkrieg were to be added a good way to counteract him being the most played is a requirement that a certain number of rounds having to be played before he can be picked again

Yeah, having a requirement for a certain round of rounds needing to be played first sounds like a good idea, but how would that work? Have we ever done something like that, before?
