Again, Windows memory diagnostic found errors with it, but I can't even check anymore. And, even if I replace the sticks, this (probably) won't solve not being able to log in.

Windows memory diagnostic is worth shit. Try running memtest86
Normally it's helpful to include the memory dumps it makes on crash, but explorer and WinRAR treated them like they half didn't exist.
That's really interesting. Memory's dumps have nothing to do with OS or HDD.
 
He's saying, once you see a lot of red stuff on your screen, that means something is very, very, wrong in your system.
 
On an slightly related note, I took my PC in today, and I've been given a time frame from anywhere between 6 hours and 2 days til I get my PC back. Stuck on the craptop til then. FML.
