Invalid Anthomyst telling others to kill themselves

I am trying to upload a video of it but I am being told I am not allowed to

Firstly, there's nothing wrong with what he did - even if he did say what you claim. He's allowed to trash talk just as much as anyone.
However, you've shown us a video of yourself abusing the votemenu functionality, would you like to explain why you votemenu'd them for griefing?
 
No worries, it is okay that there is "Nothing wrong" with someone telling another to kill themselves. Totally get it ;)
I forgot admins for Skial usually try to focus on "mic spam" bans instead
 
So you are telling me, in the video, when he admits to it near the end, it is perfectly okay "trash talk" to tell others to kill themselves? 10/10 such reliable and good admins.

Yes - trash talking is perfectly allowed, could you tell me which rule he broke?
I would be a supporter of a "no extreme harrassment" rule, but there isn't one.
 
I wouldn't say there isn't anything wrong with it. We just do not ban people for it. Its the internet and a rated m game. We aren't going to punish everyone that says something that may offend someone. This kind of behavior can easily be solved by a client mute or a votemenu mute.

Calling the vote is fine. If the majority of players want someone gone for their behavior, then they can use the votemenu. That is partly what its there for.

Well apparently I was vote abusing according to the all-knowing Luke here. I guess if I was a donator I would have been given a little more respect huh?
 
Not really. We don't give special treatment to anybody.

I wouldn't call it vote abusing unless you call multiple votes over and over again until a vote finally does pass. Typically I say call a vote or two, if the vote doesnt pass then stop and just client mute.

I do agree with this, I wasn't saying that it was votemenu abuse to the point where it was enough to be punishable - but if someone is being verbally abusive a votemenu silence would've been more appropriate than banning them entirely in my opinion.
 
It looked like you were on the track of dishing out a punishment for the vote, which is why i hijacked this thread. You could have just said from the start "a votesilence would be a better option in the future".

He did the right thing in reporting it to us instead of trying to take it into his own hands, even if it wasn't against the rules. We should encourage that instead questioning the person who reported them. If anything, we have now started a history with Anthomyst, and if any more reports come are way we can figure out what we should do.

Look, I apologize if I got hbotheaded, but the whole "suicide" and telling others to kill themselves is a soft topic for me. Its a long story. So I apologize for any short handed talking to you.
