There's a lot of stuff that's gone on in jailbreak over the past few decades (re: months) that needs to be fixed or remedied in some way that doesn't directly pertain to the rules that have already been remedied. This is more logistical stuff that doesn't fall into a rule category that pertain to the server itself. Because this deals with many issues instead of one central issue, they can be voted upon individually based on your preference or knowledge of the relevant manner.

This will also be broken down into two sections: server suggestions and bug fixes. They're distinct in that suggestions are personal opinions for the betterment of the server that are fueled by experience and concerns/statements relayed to me by server regulars, while bug fixes are objective and are more literal in that they are observations of technical things that need to be fixed for everyone's enjoyment, not the opinions of myself or a few other people.

So let's begin with the easy stuff...

Bug Fixes
/hat glitch

If you use the /hat donation/AP command near the beginning of the round, you will respawn but will die immediately after respawning. This doesn't apply to the /trail command, but only the /hat command. Can we get this fixed? I've had to respawn myself and other people who used the command at the beginning of the round.

Slay-on-spawn glitch
I know that the slay-on-spawn was added after adding Snowball to the map rotation, but it's rather irritating to be killed after respawning on round start every. Single. Time. As soon as the round begins, a lot of corpses and weapons drop to the ground, and it skews the K/D ratio of every player. There's no way to avoid it. Can this be remedied so players aren't killed at the start of rounds?

Saxton Hale Weapon Stats
All weapons were given the attributes and statistics of their Saxton Hale counterparts, from what I have observed, when the nature of jailbreak is not like Saxton Hale at all. Examples include:
  • Rocket Launchers minicrit airborne enemies
  • Crusader's Crossbow causes the shooter to gain uber upon enemy hit
  • Flare Gun has increased self-damage force
  • Gloves of Running Urgently has no mark for death
Among other things. Can we have these changes reverted so the weapon attributes were what they were originally? (Excluding spy backstabs, which shouldn't crit at all. It was like this before, and it should stay like this, along with the Gunslinger and Ullapool Caber being banned outright and Medigun ubercharge being Quick Fix-esque).

Fix Arena areas on all maps (thank you @Heavykiin )
Minor thing for a mapper to do, but a lot of minigames are broken, namely arena across every current map except for Minecart. Other broken minigames are Russian Roulette in Casuarina, Dodgeball in MLCastle, Bumble Beam in MLCastle, Soccer on all maps (I think the last three have to do with there being no collisions on the entire server, the "enable collisions" button doesn't work).
Suggestions
Add more maps
We've had the same maps in the rotation for a very, very long time; with the exception of the recent addition of Snowball (which has its own problems that I'll discuss shortly), I'd like to propose to add more maps to the rotation, including:
  • jb_wtc_b8 - This is a rather small but fun map in the likeness of the World Trade Center. The coolest thing is an elevator that goes from the "ground" floor, where spawn & cells are, to the roof with soccer, jump rope (sweeper), and more. It's reminiscent of hopjb a little bit.
  • jb_fuckzz_final_v11 - The name of the map is misleading; all of the games and elements I tried out worked and were rather ingenious in nature. It's about the same size as minecart.
  • jb_legojail_b1 - The main area is a little scrunched, but everything about this map looks amazing. Lots of fun minigames and activities to do.
  • ba_jail_wip_a6v4 - The name implies it's work in progress, but it's anything but. A huge map on the outside with all of the minigames in-house. The only real avenue to get to this huge outside easily is by walking right in front of the armory. I happened to really like it; lots of fun stuff.
All of these maps, and more, can be downloaded from here. Most of them work out of the box from what I can tell. Might need some testing on the server itself to fix stuff. I've looked at other maps on that list, but those four stuck out the most. There are also a lot of other maps on this page.

Remove Snowball & Chierten from the rotation
Snowball is just a completely broken map. Half of the games do not work, the lighting is (still) weird, the map is far too big and open to manage a red team of 15+ people, and it seems to have been very haphazardly developed. It's just not a fun map.

For Chierten, we never go to that map and it's also far too big to do much of anything. I like some parts of it, but it's the least visited map on the server from what I've experienced.

Add maximum time limit for maps
We can sometimes have the server spend over two hours on the exact same map. I like having variety between the different maps; it shakes things up. Can we only keep the "Extend Map" option when voting for a new map for a certain maximum time limit (say 60-80 minutes)?

Unban Hide and Seek
Hide and Seek is a relatively harmless game if done right. All the reds get the chance to hide. They get frozen after a certain point. The last alive gets LR. I can't say why this was banned before, but I think this is a good opportunity to be unbanned.

I hope this makes sense and that we can have some of these things become reality.

Hide 'N' Seek
If you play Hide 'N' Seek you must:
  • Play legitimately - This means no ghosting whatsoever, if you are caught Steam Chat Ghosting you will not be silenced and will just be banned instead.
  • All reds must play, excluding freedays from LR who must not help Guards.
  • If you find a red you must kill them and may not give any mercy unless they are the last one alive who is not a freeday.
  • The last red still hiding must be given LR, after LR has been given normal rules apply.

If anyone wants to edit this set of rules, which I think should be added. Please feel free to apply your thoughts.
 
I like your idea's D3xus, I rather pick Cream's rules for hide 'n seek but with 1 extra rule:
Not allowing to play hide 'n seek in Chretien IF that map won't get removed. Cause as said before: The map is too big.
 
Chretien is very big, usually the round ends too quickly because half the time is taken away because of the time it takes to move to each minigame.

Also if snowballs is to have some of it's minigames fixed like arena and cat and mouse, do we want to keep cat and mouse? Since I don't even know what you're supposed to do in that, it sounds like hide and seek though which is banned. Do we want a different minigame instead? And to have boulder dash fixed?
 
I feel like bringing Hide and Seek back but banning it on one map will cause problems. JB players being eager to exploit whatever loopholes they can and all
But I agree it shouldn't be allowed on Chretian since all the reds would escape 99% of the time.
 
To be honest I don't see how a game being banned on a map could be exploitable in the rules, there's not really anything you can do with that since it's either banned or not depending on the map. Or do you mean the hide and seek rule in general that I suggested?
 
I mean, if a game is banned on one map but allowed on the others, I can just imagine some players going, "lol this game is allowed on other maps so it's allowed here"
With the quality of the average JB player, I feel like this would happen fairly often
But I haven't been on JB for a while so you probably know better
 
Hide n Seek was fun before it got abused. The only issue with it I ever seen on Chretian was the fact that RED team was difficult to find and generally no LR was given because they couldn't find the last 4 or so people. imo if you want to allow hide and seek, make it across the board and not on selective maps.
 
Hide and Seek is fine as long as it's not on the huge maps like Cheriten and Snowball. The other three maps (HopJB, MLCastle, and Minecart) are all reasonably sized and hide and seek would not take too long.
 
What about Casuarina? That one may be too big.
Casuarina is fine imo. The outside is mostly blank space. It may not be a good idea as warden if the server isnt populated and you do not have a lot of guards, but hey, it's not a big deal. Their loss, quite literally. Just so long as no one can hide in the invincible room.

Snowballs too is mostly blank space too, the only real areas to hide are where the games are.

Also any ideas of what to add to replace the broken cat and mouse game?
 
We need a cinema...It could play random clips (or not play anything at all and we can use our imaginations.)

Animated texture files do bump up the file size when it has loads of frames. I could add a cinema but we would either need a selection of short 3 second GIF conversions, or just one on its own with no choice but is extended.
 
Sorry for the late reply, I assumed that this was just for map fixes.

I'm not sure I consider the /hat command a bug. The only way to display a new hat is to respawn or touch a locker. I suppose I will disable respawning when using /hat on jailbreak.

Also it should absolutely be impossible to late spawn now. If there is still a way to late spawn then I would like to know how.

So unfortunately this means there will be no removal of people being killed at the start of a round. I don't see how kill ratios are relevant on Jailbreak anyway.
 
No offence to anyone who likes to play jailbreak, but im pretty sure its a bit to late to fix massive bugs. The game mode is losing its popularity (like all game modes do) and the server never seems to even be full anymore.

Just judging by this week, doe not seem very healthy. https://stats.skial.com/#server/32 Not a single day this week was the server full. Even when it was almost to the cap, it died very fast. Even for weekends, it doesn't seem to keep a very good ammount of people for it.

Sorry but I don't think trying to get fixes for jailbreak is worth it at this point. It takes time to fix this stuff and in the long run whats it even for? A server with 0 people on it to look at the fixed stuff? I dunno if bot should really be using his time for this stuff if the game mode is starting to die. Fuck we only have 1 JB (Correct me if we did not have more then 1, I never played it but im pretty sure we had more then one) server left because of the popularity as it is.

Since I've been here, we've only had one.
Otherwise though, you're right, I've noticed that it's dying quite a significant amount. It's been decreasing player count steadily compared to how it used to do, say, a year and a half ago?
Fixes should happen if the server is going to stay up, though.

Honestly I'm surprised the server is even still around.

Yeah, unfortunately that seems to be the case. At least it gave some of us good memories though.
Also, in reference to my post, I meant it should keep getting fixes for as long as it stays up, not that it will stay up for much longer.
