Wait up, if I'm subscribed to a number of mods currently and the author decides to put a price tag on the mod, what happens? Is there some sort of grandfather clause on these mods or does it just get removed from my game.

Time to install every single mod in Skyrim now.

Chances are they would just get rid of it, doubt valve would be nice and give something for free.

Valve deleted all the $99 high res horse genital mods people were putting up for review so they're probably in this for the long haul.

Is there a choice for mod developers to not have donations enabled? Other than Nexus.
Donation stuff is hard to do due to coppyright shit and not being able to be paid for the tools you use. I think (and what others are thinking) is not having a full out payment, and just have a proper donate button. It would still lead to problems because valve would do a shit job regulating it but its better then nothing. I do think content makers should get paid for what they do, but most people such as I won't pay full out for it. Mods are very complicated and getting one to work with another can be hard, I think paying for mods is very bad idea in alot of ways.

How exactly does this work? So you can buy mods now, I get that, but does that mean that you can buy like csgo skins from the workshop? If you could, that would be quite neat. Or does it only apply to texture packs and such
