Although the game looked stunning on Xbox it was capped to 30fps for obvious reasons. The PC version does run with more. I use my laptop GTX 870M and I do get about 60-70fps on high settings.
Apart from that, online play doesn't cost unlike on XBox where you need Xbox Live Gold, so I also thought of rather investing the money here than 1 year online subscription there and enjoy the game for more years for free.
Another big pro is the video editor, you probably saw some real good work already and it is, to my surprise, so easy to use.

Online play is smooth, I didn't encounter any real bugs apart from the starting probs I had. But it wouldn't be Rockstar if it went smoothly for everyone.

If you want it badly, I say invest, it is totally worth it, from my perspective. If you can still play on the Xbox and those features aren't too much of an interest to you, you should probably wait for a discount (sometime around wintersale I guess)

I don't mind 30 fps. Even though playing online smoothly sounds nice, I don't have any friends to play with so that's also not for me. And I'm happy enough with the game I have.

But I've never heard of the video editor. What's that

I've beaten the PS3 version of the game but I've been playing through the story again, the story keeps my attention longer than most games do. Online is also very fun! Didn't play much of it on the PS3 because I kept getting disconnected from PSN. God it happens way too much even when my internet is just fine.
 
Oh and the one thing I'm hoping for for PC GTA V Online is the community, if you've played GTA on PlayStation or Xbox you know what type of people are the heaviest mic users/players and what they're like
So hopefully with the high bar for entrance (decent PC) it should keep most of those types out.
 
Well this sucks. I bought the retail version, installed it, and now I can't even open the game. Social Club keeps crashing whenever I try to sign in.

Yea I had the exact same problem! Do you happen to have 2 graphic cards in your pc/laptop? If yes, I can help you with a workaround to get over that launch problem.

I managed to find a work around, and now I have an ungodly patch to install and it's going to be maybe four/five hours before I can play the game. FML

Let us know wether you are sucessful starting the game when that finished or not. It does seem to re-download some game files.
 
So How are you guys liking the keyboard and mouse controls?

So far for me the only trouble I've run into control wise is with flying, I have to use the numpad to even fly half way decent but other than that I really like the driving with the keyboard.
Free-aim in online lobbies is pretty baller too

Also I was happy to find out that you can transfer from PS4 to PC so now I get my level 86 with tank, hydra, and kraken

I wasn't successful. I have to keep my main video card disabled and my intel one can't really handle the load. Bummer until they come out with a patch to fix the crash.

I use a controller for flying, keyboard is just fucking awful.

Other than that, highly enjoying myself.
 
Online mode makes you realize how much of a dick everyone on the internet is.
Had 2 high level guys chase me in their cars, probably killed me about 10 times by rushing to my spawn point every single fucking time until I realized I could actually enable passive mode.
Then they moved on to the next poor soul.

I've only played online once on PC so far and when I did everyone was so nice. :^( Asking how everyone was enjoying the game and just being friendly to each other in general. I mean until almost everyone was in the same place allowing somebody to crash a plane into us. :c

Confession I'm kind of one of those people but I try to only do it to red dots or asshats
I usually get in my tank and scare low level people who can't really hurt me by driving near them or just pointing the barrel at them
Or sometimes I wait for people to start getting in helis or planes and then hop in my jet and blow them out of the sky
