My dad said I could play it when he watched me, but when he found out that it was M, he made me uninstall it.
I'm confused.
I posted this is general because it's more of my problem than about TF2

Okay? Why are you positing it in Skial at all. Skial is not a daycare unless you play Jailbreak.

Want me to come round and have a word with your father?
Anyway, tell him that "online interactions are not rated" so, and as long as it's online, it's not a M.

Generally speaking, I am actually appreciating parents that take care of online interactions of their children. Not meaning to be rude in that way to you @Xhozer, it's my opinion apart from your personal story above.

Also I just think you can't do anything about it and none of us can come by and convince him to let you play the game. Sorry.

Leave your phone number and your dads name here and i'll call him and have a talk with him for ya.

You're confused that people shooting and killing each other, exploding into gibs, and references to all kinds of non-kid friendly content is rated M?
I can't be the only one to think this is either a stupid kid or a troll.

Are you upset your dad actually cares enough to not let his kid who is posting on a forum about his mean daddy not letting him play a rated M game? I say he made the right decision

Wait until you're 17

As a parent I would be more upset that you are here questioning my decision than playing the actual game. Tell your father I said thank you and keep up the good work.

The game involves blowing up bodies with blood and body parts flying all over the place. How would it not be rated M?

I have no idea why tf2 is rated M

I mean, other than what people can say in chat, I cannot think of why it could have that rating

I know how this feels. Growing up under my parent's roof I wasn't allowed to buy any M rated games (Elder Scrolls was the only exception). That means no Battlefield, CoD, or Halo. The only titles I had that were FPS were Medal of Honor, Timesplitters, and Metroid Prime which was good enough for me. Now that I'm an adult, I'm actually pretty thankful for this since I always run into self-entitled brats online in any FPS who instantly make it clear that they're the type who always get what they demand. While it may seem like your parents keep you on a tight leash you don't realize until later that this discipline works wonders for your character and that they're doing it because they care about you.

Isn't there an option to turn party mode on? And then everyone blows up into like balloons and stuff? Why not try and persuade him with that?
