I was given a communications ban for the one time I wasn't actually being racist.

A bit of background: I was playing and there were like, 3 or 4 little kids ( I don't know how old they were, but they had irritatingly high pitched voices) who were complaining about how they were getting slammed. Eventually they just devolved into being offensive. (in voice chat, so there probably aren't any records) So I was listening to them and started typing some of the best (worst) things that I heard them say, which included the typical foul language racism you encounter in CoD such as use of the n-word. While I don't think i typed that word specifically, I quoted (not exactly, but close) them for a few of their other remarks (the ones about hating black people and about the KKK) and put them in chat. It really didn't accomplish much, they just went back to spamming the voice chat until they left.

I know that I don't have any logs to back up my story, since what they said was in voice chat and what I responded was in all chat, but this was the one time that I wasn't the one being racist.​

Even if your story is true (I'm not saying it is) your silence would still stay justified given the other things you were saying in chat

Here's a quote from the skial tf2 server rules page:
  • Racism and other insults to gender, religion and sexual orientation. Does not include discussion of why it is against the rules.
    • Any form of the word nigger (nigga, nigg etc.) is not allowed even if you are just quoting a rap song or you are black, to prevent actual racists from using the same excuse.
As you can see, it say any use of the N-word is not allowed. Along with that, this is not your first, but your fourth time being silenced for racism; meaning you've had 3 opportunities before to at the very least glance at the rules.
 
You would think after every other time you got silenced you would stop...

It is not our fault you cannot follow our rules.
 
If "Quoting someone else is not a loop hole.", then that opens up a lot of potential abuse.

For example, the issue of child pornography on the servers. Many times I have seen various amounts of child pornography on various servers and wondered why it was accepted. when I asked for an admin to resolve it, I was told that if I saw it, I was to take a screenshot and then write a report about it. By the reasoning "Quoting someone else is not a loop hole." that means that I would be equally as guilty for reporting someone of spraying child pornography as the person spraying it themselves, seeing as though I would have taken a screenshot of it, and thus I would be guilty under the "Quoting someone else is not a loop hole." standard.

It is rather counter productive to actively discourage abuse reporting under the pretense that proving it is the same crime as actually doing it.
 
That rule is situational.

If some guy on the server says "Killerzebra, D.J. said 'blue nigga pyro'." I am not going to punish him. We have that rule because people tried to use it as an excuse, like you are doing right now.

You had three previous silences for racism already. This is your fault, not ours, not the person you were "quoting". Yours.
 
So the rule only applies in situations of racism, which is unacceptable on Skial servers, but child pornography is fine?

You keep saying it, but yet no report/evidence is provided to ban said person. Also, you would be doing the right thing by reporting the person.

You can't just use an excuse when you have done nothing about it.
