It seems to me that the rules put forth by Bottiger, http://www.skial.com/threads/server-rules.136/, are not only extremely out dated but are also not very informative to players new to TF2 and especially Skial. I was recently gagged and muted due to a spamming fiasco that I understand was wrong, but besides that I feel a look through the rules by the Skial community would greatly decrease the number of bans and com bans. Also, would inform the community and clean up Skial servers in general. Please for the sake of Skial take care of this.

I can understand why you would say that but things like TP traps have been fixed and many new players may not know what "spamming" and "scamming" is.

The reason for this thread was to understand weather or not the Skial community should look at its rules, not to gang up on someone's opinion and call them a troll. Unless you don't like to listen to the community.

The community isn't just you and so far the "community has decided the rules are fine as they are.
See, the problem is you were complaining about a rule that you knew you broke. Spamming may seem vague to some but the general consensus(for those who know the word) is it means do not spam chat. The rules really are not outdated. Moreso, they have existed for a while and most skial regulars should know them by now. The community knows the rules.
I never said that I am the only part of the community that should be responding to this, I can accept that no one wants to change the rules however 4 people against is no reason to make the topic completely void on an opinion that can affect hundreds.
I had no intention of this connecting to my gag/mute appeal, but my opinions on the topic stay the same and I believe the community can have a chance to say something about this and I can accept a losing argument.
I see that most people disagree with my opinion so I will therefore remove my thoughts from this page, although I will leave it up for discussion. For those of you that believed I was trolling or angry about my gag/mute I say that I am truly sorry for not explaining myself correctly. I will no longer use Skial servers or support the community in any way, (Due to my unbiased opinion of the server) although I am available for discussion if anyone would like to continue or bring a new topic to my attention. Please do not continue replying to say you disagree, unless it is constructive criticism on what my wrongdoings were.

The rules are fine and do not need to be rewritten. And i have no idea how they are outdated.

The main reason being some of the decisions you have made with your servers do not appeal to my liking. I understand what Skial must do to keep its community and servers running. Please understand that I am not leaving Skial because of this mute/gag situation, but because of a long, thought out decision that has left me to decide there are better servers for me to be on. Thank you all for the info and I hope something that I said will help the community so that others may feel how I did when I was a dedicated Skial member.
