A question on Furrys

So I feel like I should preface this by saying I don't hate furrys and I have alot of furry friends (Famous last words huh)

But why do Furrys always feel the need to include the fact there furry in there name somewhere, everyone I've asked hasn't been able to answer, I'm gay and I know if I had it in my name it would make people judge me before even talking to me so it really puzzles me that people would willingly do it to themselves.

I don't want this to turn into a Flame/Troll thread I'm genuinely puzzled by this.

Honestly it bothers me I see it so much with sprays and names and its just really confusing, Why do people define themselves by what sexual preferences/what culture they belong too.

I realize I might never get a straight answer but hell people could at least try as opposed too "You just wouldn't understand", No you might just find out I will understand if you tell me.

There are multiple reasons 1 you're not afraid to show that you are a furry 2 you are proud to be a furry 3 because you can or 4 to see who's butt hurt on having a furry on there sever so you can fuck with them.

the sprays are a furry's way of trolling non furry's just ignore it because if you make drama about it they already won

Honestly just let them be them, the ones who flaunt it either troll or don't really care about others, they just enjoy it and show it. Why be so bothered when ignoring is so damn easy?

The tricky thing about any sex culture is that individual people have different ways defining the boundaries of that culture. For example, if I say that I beat off to anthropomorphic (furry) figures on occasion, I can illicit all sorts of responses from different people. Some people will write me off as furry despite the fact that I don't have a "fursona", fursuit, furry avatar/spray or any other trait associated with furrys. Others will say that I'm a semi-furry in that I have a trait that identifies me a furry but this trait alone doesn't allow me to completely associate with the furry culture by default. Others will say that I am not a furry and simply curious about a certain sexual genre. So really it's not really a question of "What is a furry?" but rather a question of "What do you have to do be classified as a furry by other people?"

Honestly I was just confused about why people would want themselves to be judged before someone gets to know them, the only person being aggressive here is Fang and its a little saddening beacuse its the same story everywhere else I ask at least some of the furry community are just mean about it like Fang with the sprays comment.
