A question on Furrys

Thank you for the well thought out and reasonable answer, and yeah honestly I get it I've seen Bi people been shunned by gays purely because they like women but in the end we're all in the same boat we're not "Normal" and yeah people are gunna' judge us before getting to know us its why I have a bit of a problem with putting furry in your name, icons are fine but if you went around advertising you where gay or transgendered or I dunno' you had a foot fetish people would be rude to you its the reason why I dislike it when people have "Furry" or something to that effect in there name, you're allowing people to judge you for something that doesn't define you, you're undermining years of cultural progress, it isn't right.

Some people don't care. In some cases it can even be a defense mechanism. If you judge someone straight up on a sexual preference like being a furry without trying to know more about the person then that shows them you aren't worth the time to know or deal with.
 
Being proud of being a furry is like being proud of masturbating. Nobody fucking cares what you do with your personal business, and its preferred that you dont tell everyone your business.

Here's the thing that annoys people. Your name was timberwolf. You came out as a furry, and then proceeded to change your name, avatar, and decided to make a SFW furry thread outside of unmod, featuring, in the OP, some fucking deviant art shit. Furrys aren't exactly represented in this community. Why? Because this is a TF2 forum dude. Nobody gives a shit about your fetish. It's the internet, your persona could be anything. A favorite TV show character, book character, actor, but you choose your fetish to represent you. Just as bad as people who shove being a vegan/*RELIGION HERE* in peoples faces. Shit likes this annoys me, yes, but it doesn't change how I think of people who identify as furries.
