As I mentioned, I despised Zeb before. I'm willing to drop absolutely anything and befriend anyone who requests it, or cease doing something if someone reasonably requests it of me.

My original vote was for CiNiC to be restored to admin and I have to say after reading everything people have said . . . I'm even more convinced. I hope Bottiger decides to restore you as an admin, CiNiC. :) When the worst accusation most people level against you is a certain amount of irascibility (that you are working to change) and the overwhelming majority agree that you do a good job of upholding the rules . . . I don't think there should be any question in anybody's minds.
I've tried with no success. I hope Bottiger will give you another chance even though I personally see no positive outcome out of it. Hope I'm seeing it wrong.
I recall us disliking one another very much at one point. You sent me a private message on Skial and asked me to take it easy and to tell other people to do the same, and that you would as well. I complied, and everything was peachy until about a week ago - not completely sure what changed, but as always, if there is anything you'd request of me, I'm listening.
Are there aliens attacking us? :D I was wondering what forced you to change your attitude towards me and start trolling me again. And that's what I asked you in this thread. The only logical assumption I could've come up to was that me questioning Anya's promotion to admins made you mad. Btw, I wasn't against Anya's promotion - I was just asking why her ;-)

Is it possible this vote is not representative of the actual playing community? How many people are regulars on the server that have no desire to participate in the forums? Some of you may not even realize this, but the bro'ness is pretty thick here. You guys are like a family. You stick together. It's adorable. It's also, perhaps, intimidating for outsiders. How many people have actually come to the forums, posted a poorly articulated complaint, only to be beat down by the bro machine?
I am an exception to the rule. I'm old, have time to burn, and a tiny axe to grind. I'm such a baby I PM'd Bott because you and Classy muted me on a whim. Muted! And I pitched a little fit. At least at the end of my fit I backed up and and asked the bro machine for mercy.
The only reason i'm busting your balls (and voted no) is because you gave me a half-assed apology. Classy at least straight up apologized. So, ironically, if you would have been more like the 15 year old, I'd probably be throwing myself in front of the fire coming your way at the moment. Like the other 70% who are.
So yeah, in my case, it's personal.
But I'm a dick.
It's not just forum regs. I asked people from Skial on my friends list to post their opinion. For example, one of the guys on page 2 who voted against me. I knew we weren't tight, and I'm pretty sure the only reason he added me was to contest a gag on-server. I asked everyone I could think of, and even some that I didn't, their opinions.

CiniC is a great admin. One of the best i've ever seen. In fact, he is the best. When there is a griefer or even a spammer on the server, he comes to ban/kick/mute them. He never abuses power, so I don't really know why he got his adminship revoked for "people not liking him" because, based on the talleys so far, a lot of people do like him. My vote's in for yes.

You know, there's no doubt that CiNiC's made mistakes. After all, last I checked, he's a human being. But when you look at his overall record there's definitely been MUCH more good than bad. Yes, there were thing that I've been meaning to talk to him about cutting out... But would I have removed his admin powers over it? No. There would've been disciplinary action. There would've been warnings. There would've been "You're doing good in this regard, but cut this other shit out" before removal of admin powers.
I'd say a good portion of his most vocal critics are trolls and other bad elements that I've had to deal with as well. Some people have legitimate grievances with him, but (to my knowledge) none of them have privately messaged him and said "Dude, what's the deal with what you said???"
I'm sorry, but there's an adult way of handling a lot of the issues here and I don't see anybody handling it in that manner.
My honest opinion is that CiNiC should be given back his powers on a probationary period. As a representative of the Realm of Skial, he needs to do his best to make nice and curb the abrasive demeanor that he admits to having. If he can handle that I think we'll all be better off for it.
CiNiC, you're a bro, just keep it in check. I can't blow smoke up your ass and tell you that you've been 100% perfect all the time. But as a friend, I can tell you where you've strayed and help you correct that. I think we all owe that to CiNiC rather than bawwwwwwwing like a bunch of babies.

Personality is just as important as anything for an admin imo. I'm sure there's lots of potential admins who would gladly step in to fill your spot and who would have a good attitude too!.. I don't think there's a limit for admins (it's all volunteer no?)?
I just think I should make it clear, that if I see that porn spray on the walls again. I'm going to send it to valve and have the guy banned at that level.
