It's pretty much midnight, anyone who had any shred of logic is either sleeping or making half-assed comments
Preferably the people who were directly affected.
Who they are is irrelevant to us.(although it may have been implied several times) A small handful of regulars and admins know who they are.
Actually, when you said,

Figure I'd drop my 2 cents. Dire is great to play with when he is sober, and I am all for giving second chances to people, even more so because I wasn't directly involved in all the stuff that went down when he was banned. That said, if the threads that I have read regarding this topic are any indication then Dire, man, you dun fucked up royally. Don't much care what the extenuating circumstances were, there are lines you just don't cross, things you just don't do.
I'd be one of the first to welcome you back in game because I really do enjoy playing with you (that and so many of the regulars that were around when I first got TF2 and started on skial dustbowl just aren't here anymore and that makes me sad... we need to get the band back together guys, for serious) but this isn't the way to go about doing it.
Don't know if you are still reading this thread, but if you are, you need to make your peace with the people that are at the heart of this whole shit storm, for your own good and for keeping the drama out of everything else. Say what you need to say, to them, not to who ever will listen because that has never and will never help, not really. If you can find some neutral ground, or even start patching those relationships back up then I don't see a reason why you shouldn't be allowed to come back. If you are not willing, or are not ready, to do that then maybe take a bit more time, find yourself. Hit me up on steam if you want to vent (but know that I am not just gonna nod, listen yes, but also try and help).
As for the rest of the drama, find a different thread. Dire hasn't made more than a handful of posts here and I already feel like this is the beginnings of a war, we don't need that and I don't think anyone wants that. Bickering like children does nothing.

I highlighted the most important part. I've had girls do some really fucked up things to me. Things that left me a woman-hating man-slut for a few years before I met my wife and she redeemed love for me. However, I NEVER crossed the lines that Dire did, and nobody did anything remotely near what I've gone through to Dire, and even if anybody did, you still don't cross that damn line.
A lot of what has "broken up the band" as I guess you would put it has been bickering over tiny things that would take me about 10 minutes to get over. Let's get the good band members back and not worry about the ones that fuck up the show consistently.
What's the big deal? Yes. He crossed the line and fucked up pretty badly but Bottiger gave him a second chance. If he fucks up again, just permaban him. Just stop this drama and end this shitstorm.
The problem that you're not seeing (and you should, considering that you applied for admin, which further cements my -1) is that some jackasses will listen to Direwulf's trolling and come to the servers as his proxy to cause issues. I've already had to deal with that on Dustbowl.
Com on, man. Even Anya has let him go. lol :D
It's not an issue for just Anya and CiNiC. He's making it a Skial problem. That affects me. That affects all of us.

Did want to clarify, yes CD, that is probably the biggest point I was trying to make with my post to Dire, but I know how short the attention span of a lot of our members can be in regards to thread derailment, so before the rest of it is lost, the most important point to everyone else from that post was that this isn't helping anyone. Dire Fucked up, if he is willing to make the effort to make amends then I think he should be allowed, not carte blanche, but a chance.

That's what you got your admin for, isn't it? To deal with jackasses. If there were no jackasses - you having an admin would be pointless, wouldn't it? Use your ban hammer to cut all the bullshit off - and you are all set, I don't see any problems.
Apparently Anya (who was directly involved and who said she didn't mind having him back) and Bottiger (who IS Skial on his own and who unbanned Direwulf) have a different opinion on this matter. That makes your That affects all of us statement invalid.
I do not know what he did wrong and I do not want to be involved (or to read) in 200-pages long useless conversation about what he did. All I see is that Bottiger has unbanned him and Anya has forgiven him - AND THAT'S ALL THAT FUCKING MATTERS.
Now at this point this discussion is useless and smells like drama, unless you wanna doubt Bottiger's decision.
Period.
