Declined sm_ignore not blocking text

sm_ignore or /ignore is a plugin while the mute function in tf2 is made by valve
one mute/gags the chat of someone you dont want to know exists and the other just mute/gags the chat of someone during the time they stay in the server

I am aware of the difference and what they do, I just didn't think bottiger made the plugin. I thought it was either built into sourcemod or valve side. (like the mute ear thing)

sm_ignore never blocked text, that's why I liked it (for idle).

Currently there's no way to mute text via client or server, I was told it's because of the dead chat plugin.

It's a separate plugin, not built into anything.
