And then people wonder why the fuck the ancient people were so curious about the stars. I WONDER WHY.
It's not just the ancients, we still have whole sections of society devoted to analysing stars and space, and are still only able to look at stars from a distance and make assumptions based on physics and chemistry.

So that they could figure out how to turn off those lights in the sky so that they could get some fucking rest.

And that's how roofs were invented.

Apparently, the light from the milky way is so strong here that objects actually cast shadows.

Well, double posting sure is fun.

Here's a picture of a cute little critter down in the oceans. Deep oceans be cool, yo.

It's not like you can see that much of space from just your average forest. That photo seems a bit iffy to me.

Of course it's enhanced a little... Just about every night sky pic is on the net. I can see the milky way, tons of stars and the northern lights on a clear night. This is pretty close to what I see with the naked eye at work on night shift. I don't live in a forest next to a big city.... Light pollution is minimal here.

I have a cottage in the middle of absolutely nowhere yet I don't see any starclusters. How come it's like that?

Wish I knew. Growing up I thought it was normal to see a sky like that until I worked downstate and in populated areas and could barely see any stars.

LIGHT POLLUTION IS A LIE. WHAT REALLY HAPPENS IS ALIEN SPACESHIPS PARK THEIR SHIPS OVER LARGE CITIES TO OBSERVE US AND TURN ON THEIR CLOAKING SHIELDS.
