Also I want to make clear that I have Autism in a certain level that makes my brain work differently and therefore I see things on a different view which is sometimes odd/hard for you to understand but just take time for it or ask me if you aren't following. Don't go rude because of it.
I coppied some mythes you guys seem to believe in, I did some editing..
People with autism don't want friends. Autistic people are just unable to communicate their desire for relationships the same way you do.
People with autism can't feel or express any emotion—happy or sad. Autism doesn't make an individual unable to feel the emotions you feel, it just makes the person communicate emotions (and perceive your expressions) in different ways.
People with autism can't understand the emotions of others. Autism often affects an individual's ability to understand unspoken interpersonal communication, so someone with autism might not detect sadness based solely on one's body language or sarcasm in one's tone of voice. But, when emotions are communicated more directly, people with autism are much more likely to feel empathy and compassion for others.
People with autism are intellectually disabled. Often times, autism brings with it just as many exceptional abilities as limitations. Many people with autism have normal to high IQs and some may excel at math, music or another pursuit. (ex.: Albert Einstein)
People with autism are just like Dustin Hoffman's character in Rain Man. Autism is a spectrum disorder, meaning its characteristics vary significantly from person to person. Knowing one person with autism means just that—knowing one person with autism. His or her capabilities and limitations are no indication of the capabilities and limitations of another person with autism.
Autism is just a brain disorder. Research has shown that many people with autism also have gastro-intestinal disorders, food sensitivities, and many allergies.[/spoiler]
Well, I have to agree with HIMYM on his statement about why you brought your autism in this thread. I think it was pretty bad move on your side and I'll try to explain why.
In my opinion, bringing your autism to this admin application raises more concerns than it actually resolves. Now I'm personally concerned if you would be a reasonable admin who would be able to take adequate actions. That assumption/concern comes from the statement "I see things differently" (unless I don't fully understand what stands behind "differently").
Just going to ask a question, how do you feel if someone calls you autistic or anything along those lines? I know it isn't fair to be called that, but from what I saw you seem to take it seriously, possibly even get angered. I'm not saying this will cause you to act differently towards a person, but this does seem like a pressing issue, because even though you don't want to act on emotion, it probably will happen.
Autism has little to do with being an admin. All we care about is if someone can perform the job or if they can't. I don't see why it's relevant in this application.
Psycho never said, and no one else either, we blame people for having autism. In this thread it showed you are not the only one with autism. The thing Psycho and probably many others don't get why you would bring it up in your admin application. I think you are playing a dangerous game, because now if you get declined, you can blame it on us knowing about your autism. Bringing this up won't higher or lower your chances of becoming admin. We judge people regarding their reasoning, perspective, and situation handling capabilities, no matter whether the person has autism or not.More concerns? Because you think that autistic people are not capable of administrate something like this? That's atleast what most people thing, that we are not smart enough (retarded...). Because I know I could. I see things differently from a different perspective.
You assume the vote was a revenge. You don't know for sure. You need clarity before marking reports. If you mark it invalid, it won't be changed. If you mark it Need Evidence, perhaps with a small change someone comes up with a demo of that time showing the abuse.Someone gets reported for vote-abuse? I've seen as answer "only did one vote so I'll make this 'need more evidence'" a few times now while I go check on it and see that the only vote was against the reporter and therefore I would assume that it was sort of a revenge and would therefore deny that request.
What do you want to say with this writing? I don't get the central idea behind it.I know the rules on VSH and Jailbreak. Free killing is an overused term and often it's because they tried to kill a guard but failed, went into armory or they tried to escape but then say "it was an alternative route". It can happen someone accidentally kills someone without that he knew this person had a free day (often due friend of warden or Raygue for having a bear hat on his heavy) without the previous round earning it. But the guard apologizes often and it stays with one kill. Yet, reports get made and people getting vote-banned because who does actually read what the vote is for if it doesn't contain your name? I got even a vote-ban against me because someone died at Death Run on Jailbreak and I was the Warden.
...
But if I get declined I hope to get an honest answer about why. If it's due my autism, then it is so. I just want to be fully honest and others to be fully honest with me..
That's completely not what I said. I said I'm concerned about you "seeing things differently" since it doesn't fit my understanding on unified administrative approach.More concerns? Because you think that autistic people are not capable of administrate something like this?
... and, again, nobody had even known about your autism until you brought it up.If it's due my autism, then it is so.
