You don't get permanently muted on a first offense, he was never moderator muted.

If anything...reporter has an awful lot of votes done on other people

First of all, please describe the actual issue here. Is it a voice you have a problem with, or is he ACTUALLY micspamming. There's a difference between the two. People are allowed to talk on the mic even if their voice sounds like they are high on helium. As long as they are talking normally there is no problem.

Secondly, are you fucking huffing paint? You CLEARLY STATE that you know how the racism rules work and then PROCEED TO FUCKING VIOLATE THEM.

Willem votesilenced that Michael guy 14 times int he past 10 days, by the way... In this report thread he admits to votemuting because of voice
 
Oh and if you have a demo, feel free to post it here. We will still look into it if you really feel we should.

I do have a lot of votes on him. I do spend lots of hours on the Death Run server. He is annoying. These votes PASS each time I start them. Nobody asked me to stop, everyone in chat agreed.

Do I admit votemuting because of "voice"? I thought you didn't see any evidence yet? I wonder if this even is voice, it might even be recorded pieces of audio.

Your first point: This doesn't fall in the category 'voice', as 'voice', to me, is some kind of speech that is understandable to humans.

Your second point: I'll get back to that later.

I'd ask Bottiger about this.
Because the votemenu has been designed to deal with problems like this. If you feel I am abusing the system while I'm equal to 20 others voting you might want to consider suggesting to update the system.

I understand it is annoying. But let him keep getting mute voted or just mute him yourself. You are making it out to be a huge issue when the fix is just at your fingertips.

'Let him keep getting votemuted'. That's no good solution, right? I wonder if Michael knows he has these weird sounds playing through the mic, but he never talks and I'm not even sure he speaks English.
If we should keep votemuting him; sure, but people like "Shiny Charizard" mark me as a vote abuser for that. Will any others get in trouble for doing a good thing?

Oh and by the way go rate this dumb if you really feel you need to, because some people seem to have made a sport out of it.
 
Like I said, it's simple enough to record the demo. One of us can try to get in there to take a listen but if he keeps getting votemuted before we get there we can't. So, either record a demo or try to get us in there BEFORE a votemute passes.
 
Neither of those is easy. He's usually muted within a minute or so after he starts to be annoying so an admin will be too late and a demo won't hold enough proof for it to makes sense to you.
I've got two pieces of evidence but those are just one second...
 
We cant go off votemutes alone as evidence. It only proves someone didnt like what another person said, started one up, and then a bunch of people pressed a button. Maybe they agreed, maybe they always click yes, maybe their friend told them to press yes and they didnt question it. Theres plenty of reasons votemutes pass and it may not always be a good reason.
 
I see. It might be an idea to implement 'I don't care / other" as a first option to prevent people from pressing buttons without thinking about it. But this has nothing to do with the report.

Willem, honey, there is this thing called "clientmute". If you are in a server, press "ESC" and click on the earthingy. That's the clientmute. Find the person you desire not to hear and clientmute him. You don't hear him and he doesn't hear you. Your problem is solved. If others have problems they can clientmute him too. Kid can talk, those who doesn't want to hear do not. Everyone happy.

Hey man listen, next time he starts micspamming get a demo.

Without a demo or an admin witnessing it first hand, there is nothing we can do. If you do not have a demo we cannot help you. If you keep replying to this thread without getting proof i am going ot have to lock it.

Get proof or get an admin next time it starts.
