The entire point of rating was to get rid of useless posts. That was literally the main point when Bottiger introduced FacePunch. With the anonymous ratings, everyone's going to post, just like Void did now, and announce how they rated each thing "Optimistic" or such.
This is stupid, and should be gotten rid of for several other prominent reasons.
Doesn't mean it isn't going to be mentioned alongside user's posts.Fairly certain that would qualify as spam.

I thought about removing it a long time ago.
The problem with being able to see the list is that you are afraid to give people a negative rating in case they try to retaliate.
A person that's afraid of retaliation isn't going to do that.
Is it possible to only hide who gives negative ratings? Or is it all or nothing? Like hide who gives negative ratings, so you don't have to worry about retaliation like Bott said, but still be able to see if someone agrees with you, etc.
I figured as much, but I thought the idea might be worth a shot.Unfortunately not.

i'm team "complex opinion can not be represented by an agree rating." ratings don't mean shit, if you need little icons to vocalize with people then you probably have more pressing matters at hand than being worried how people perceive you.+1 believe it or not you can make friends over what you rate them.
example: You post something that has your ideas in it, and you get an agree. You now know that person agrees with your ideas and friends can be made of it.
