1.6 is due out tomorrow, but Spigot (performance tuned version bukkit) has not had even a dev version come out for 1.6 yet. (Neither has just plain bukkit either). Bit unusual considering they're pretty good on getting at least something out quickly and 1.6 pre-release has been out for a week but it is what it is. As such there will probably be a delay between now and when the server gets updated.

Regarding some of the changes that people have voiced either in thread or privately, I'm already planning some big changes and also fixing some things that needed fixing. My goal has been and still is waiting for 1.6 to push it out, so the current server instance is likely to stay as.

Some of the changes:
AuthDB is going to go. It has been the biggest headache and is severely outdated. Unfortunately there isn't a viable alternative. There were a few other possible plugins but none had exactly what we needed to continue to allow cracked clients. So from 1.6 onward the server will be running in online mode and require an actual minecraft account. (Look in the trade section for people selling minecraft accounts if you need one!)

Multiworlds:
We'll be separating Survival and Creative worlds between different dimensions. For survival there are plans for an Overworld, Nether, End (reset-able), and Skylands at present. For creative, its similar with the addition of a super flat world. There will be a central hub to travel between these worlds with separate inventory management between the game modes.

Don't worry about the worlds that currently exist on the server they will be migrated over and still be accessible. (1.2.5-1.3.2 world is still in backup I believe as well.) But the will be a map reset for the new survival worlds.

Eventually I'd also like to branch out to adventure and challenge maps that can be played and then reset but this is likely to occur later.

So again, waiting for an actual 1.6 build that's stable to come out and I've got a few things left I want to implement before the server will be updated. If anyone has some other changes or feedback please let me know here. Thanks for your patience and thanks for playing!

With the update and additions of multiverse and such, won't all LWC locked items be unbound?Edit: worldGuard too

With the removal of AuthDB over PM I could maybe discuss a whitelist that will make cracked clients be accessable to the server without making the world straight whitelist.
I'll also upload the current MC jar incase you accidently force update and don't know/trust other sources.

I think white-listing cracked clients is too risky. There's too many exploits and loopholes people can use to grief or impersonate. If we have resources, we could allow a separate server dedicated to cracked clients only.

It shouldn't be too much of an issue, you will have to know the exact name of the offline account to have access to the items, so only people on the server with legit accounts would be able to, and if they try to use their account we can check the IP of the offline accounts and compare to the other unique IPs.
It could be a 5 minute hassle, but I honestly believe we don't have TOO many people who would do such a thing and make it more hassle than valuable.

No more cracked clients kinda breaks my heart :( but I understand the need. I guess I've kind of been too much of a cheap-ass so far to buy Minecraft. I will go get a legit copy now.

Are Minecraft accounts not purchased from Mojang worth it?

Yes, as long as you know it's not an account someone stole. Cheaper to buy it from someone else than it is to get from mojang.
