Invalid "possible ddos attack"

while playing in your server 50.115.32.45:27015 today april 12 2013 i experienced something i have never seen before in the many many years playing tf2 . what got my attention is that a player kept appearing green in my screen like as if he had the intel. when i realized he wasn't trolling with the intel and was actually just glowing with the green outline i made the player aware of the situation. i took several screenshots and added the player so he may see what i am seeing. as i was making aware the situation the player did make note that he saw a mysterious message appear through his console "saying possible ddos attack"

under my steam profile alphalima84 i have several screenshots if you need an illustration of what i am talking about
so i left the server and jumped back in and it went back to normal and he was no longer glowing or anybody else for the fact.

like i said i been playing this game for years "clean" and would never resort to any hacks which is why i am reporting this. i do like playing on your server since its always full this late at night. hopefully your team can investigate and find a definitive answer.

sounds like a bug.

record and stop a demo. that should fix it

I believe Skial servers warn the players when a possible DDoS is imminent, so there is a probability of the servers lagging severly or shutting down. Not 100% sure, though I believe I have seen such a message come up in the chatlog several times.

Like Zebra said, when you start recording a demo your game refreshes its graphic content, after which client side bugs such as this get removed.

read the thread. he didn't mention anything about a ddos attack. idk why he named it that.

Ahh must of stopped reading once he explained what was actually happening. Since it had nothing to do with ddos or the poll i was confused on what he was actually reporting.

either way, its not a ddos attack, it is a client side bug.

im glad to know that all is squared thanks again for looking into this my concerns were if both the player and i had been attacked since i had never seen anything like this before.
