Say a thread has finished it's purpose, like a raffle ending, or an event finishing. Instead of locking the thread, how about we just "unlist" the thread so any posts don't make it show up in recent threads? Users would be able to post in the thread without having to worry about bringing new, unaware people into the thread.

Also I suggest a "sage" feature for skial where we can post in silly/troll threads to post without bumping the thread, and thus not giving the troll attention.

Bear in mind this is riding on there being a relevant plug-in on the zenforo forums, if it isn't then I'll settle for it being a possible idea for the future.

The recent threads thing works on a blacklist and permissions on what shows up. Having a giant list of "unlisted" threads isn't really feasible and will probably slow down the forum a lot to filter this list every time as it grows. Also, this isn't 4chan, we don't need sage. Any trollish threads are shuttled off to Unmod anyways. There is general forum etiquette that you don't bump old threads. I don't really see THAT much of a problem with it here (at least month old threads with no activity, etc.)

If what you say about having unlisted threads slowing down the forum is true, then I guess I can't argue much against it. I suggested the sage feature because I mentioned it some time ago and others supported it. I just think it might be a nice feature to have, to have a tool against the threads that seek to annoy. I suppose the sage feature could be used in other ways, but it's not highly important.

If the raffle is over why would you post in it anyway.....
I don't know, to discuss the raffle? Maybe to thank the guy who held the raffle? Maybe to suggest/announce new raffles?
