1. calmed down yet, but i'm still more than disappointed because the tag is still there
2. no matter if they "have to" or not. its damn unmannered and not fair to punish s1 and he doesnt even know of it. dont tell me you check your own steamrep everyday. a post on the profile-wall is 15 seconds! thats not too much for punishing s1 without a proofed reason. this system sucks very badly.
3. i did it this way because the way i was tagged is not fair at all. i noticed it now very late while i always had probably a bad reputation for traders who considered to trade with me. i don't get why admins are so unfair.
4. i checked the profile of the one where i have +repped on the wall and searched for the name in my trade history. i didnt know he is a scammer or he wasnt marked at this time (it was 4th december). i never check rep on low key-item trades with a normal price (yes hook was 14-15 at this time). Syas'ki (screenshot) and stormix is the same steam id.
on this table of contents with steamID, steamrepURL etc. its not so fucking hard to add an url to the forum where i can proof such things. i didnt know this forum until now and i even had to register here for prooving. thats a really stupid system how these reports work. its like "hey i reported u but im not sure if you did anything. if you want to proof that you are not guilty just find out first that you got fucked and then find the forum where you got reported. at least gogo and register on this forum because you have so much time and no free will. but thats not all. now go and try to find the stupid sub-forum where you can proof and invest more time because you have so much of it."
now you maybe know why i dont think that admins are at least a bit smart, introducing such a dumb system where the tagged one is fucked anyway without a reason and its hard to get rid of the tag. imagine yourself in my situation if you dont understand it.
btw.. why ban section? i got "just" tagged not banned.
Hai. I did a check, but since I don't have access to any history logs or anything up to an SR Admin's view, I was able to see that you indeed traded with him, on a date where he wasn't tagged. Now it may have been an obvious scammer, given his profile appearance...but since there's no proof of how his profile exited before today that I can view...yeah.
Unfortunately, your current tagging is quite fair, as it appeared to be, at that time, to the reporting administrator, that you had participated in false reputation, thus you were marked with a CAUTION, not a SCAMMER, you can very well trade with anyone and join any server, although it's the norm that people will generally want to avoid those with ANY marks what so ever. However, what you speak....sounds like Soviet Russia where you're guilty until proven innocent. That is not the case, as there were notes that you could appeal that tag since there was no solid evidence, besides an incriminating photo that was shown above. That was enough reason to warrant the tag.
I'm not gonna reply to your last few parts because I stand behind takethepant's post, but I'll add that...
no. first of all -> if would have known he is a scammer (and im sure he wasnt marked at this time / doesnt matter i didnt check it anyway) i wouldnt have traded with him. and some1 who repped a scammer is also a scammer? pls google and find out what a scammer is. its senseless to talk about its same bad. fact is i would be marked as literally a scanner and nothing else.
i have over 350 trades and its just brainless to check everyone i'm trading with when its a trade with a low value. thats brainless only.
Please read the SteamRep FAQ, as takethepants mentioned, the rules, are quite clear here. http://forums.steamrep.com/pages/faq/ It says it quite clear on the numbered violations. While you were marked for initially number 4, (Providing or soliciting fake reputation claims ("fake rep")) you appeared as also 1, (
Trading with known scammers (see below)) and 15, (Anything that is deemed as deceptive or fraudulent activity by SteamRep admins) Your actions and behavior appeared to be deceptive and fraudulent (exact definition of a scam(mer)). Fraud and Scams are quite serious (Even though it's for virtual goods) criminal offenses in some countries, and staying where VALve is located at, can result in but no where limited to, loss of all virtual items, suspension of a Steam Account, temporary or permanent removal from the Steam Network and even civil demands made by VALve to law enforcement.
ANYWAYS, before I drone on, the bottom line is, that's the way the rules are, if you don't like em, you're welcome to go on SteamRep and talk to an SR Admin or make a suggestion about their methods.
