Cabble

Scarcely Lethal Noob
Because there was a fake-rep ring, or people who where said to be without any proof (well i ddint find a proof after following like 1 million links) i got caution for fakerep because i +repped 1 of them. i got alot of reps and no rep is faked. why should i do such shit? Xel set me on the scammer list even without the try of contacting me. There is not even a discription where exactly i can proof i didnt fake the rep. Thats so damn bad. Lost trust in steamrep and incompetent admins randomly reporting people for trade-rule violations.
At least can some1 tell me where the fuck i can proof that the trade happened?
before s1 asks -> yes.. im fucking angry

Hey, this is the info i found .

Guilty of: Fake rep
Evidence: Posted rep on confirmed impersonator's profile
Note: User has the option to appeal this tag. User will have to provide sufficient proof that a trade occurred at the time he left rep on the scammer's profile in order to prove ignorance.

Looks like if you can show that you traded with the scammer Syas'ki when you left +rep on his profile your caution tag will be removed. A screenshot of trade history will likely be good evidence.

@HowIMetYourMother
the report info on me does not contain an info WHERE (in what thread, what forum, whatever?????) i shall post the proof.
its NOT proofed, that i did a fake rep!!! he just says i did but ITS NOT PROOFED! and thats so fucking bad!
and because they didnt contact me about this stupid sh** i first have even to notice that im marked and then i have todo a screenshot etc what costs alot of time because the admins are just despots marking me without any proof. seriously get more competent admins or close the site. yeah.. im still mad because the stu****** of s1 wastes my time, so sry for the kind of language im using.

added a high resolution picture with a big arrow for beginners to find the trade! i hope everyone can identify the trade!!
go on the scammers profile if you doubt this nickname

lol.. and now i have to doublepost because im not allowed to post a link without 2 posts. getting even more stupid

1. Calm down.
2. To my knowledge, no Admin ever needs to contact anyone that is going to be tagged as a scammer, unless they're asking someone to participate in an investigation.
3. Instead of venting nerd rage here, why haven't you made an appeal, like this user did for a 'similar' violation. -> http://www.skial.com/threads/caution-tag-cant-trade.34599/
4. Did you just admit to trading with a known scammer?

4b. The above is null and void, Cabble couldn't have known as he's not tagged because he wasn't at that date.

You obviously have proof that your trade was legitimate, why not make an appeal, here instead of accusing all the Admins of being brainless idiots?

Edit: Updated my rebuttals as they are not valid.

1. calmed down yet, but i'm still more than disappointed because the tag is still there
2. no matter if they "have to" or not. its damn unmannered and not fair to punish s1 and he doesnt even know of it. dont tell me you check your own steamrep everyday. a post on the profile-wall is 15 seconds! thats not too much for punishing s1 without a proofed reason. this system sucks very badly.
3. i did it this way because the way i was tagged is not fair at all. i noticed it now very late while i always had probably a bad reputation for traders who considered to trade with me. i don't get why admins are so unfair.
4. i checked the profile of the one where i have +repped on the wall and searched for the name in my trade history. i didnt know he is a scammer or he wasnt marked at this time (it was 4th december). i never check rep on low key-item trades with a normal price (yes hook was 14-15 at this time). Syas'ki (screenshot) and stormix is the same steam id.

on this table of contents with steamID, steamrepURL etc. its not so fucking hard to add an url to the forum where i can proof such things. i didnt know this forum until now and i even had to register here for prooving. thats a really stupid system how these reports work. its like "hey i reported u but im not sure if you did anything. if you want to proof that you are not guilty just find out first that you got fucked and then find the forum where you got reported. at least gogo and register on this forum because you have so much time and no free will. but thats not all. now go and try to find the stupid sub-forum where you can proof and invest more time because you have so much of it."

now you maybe know why i dont think that admins are at least a bit smart, introducing such a dumb system where the tagged one is fucked anyway without a reason and its hard to get rid of the tag. imagine yourself in my situation if you dont understand it.
btw.. why ban section? i got "just" tagged not banned.

We do it this way because fake rep is a HUGE issue and the way we do it catches a lot of people. It's easy to reverse since it's easy to prove that you actually traded with the person. You only receive this when you trade with a marked scammer. The caution tag is essentially a warning that you're trading with someone that is a scammer. After that, if we see it again then you are also marked as a scammer. That's the SR rules, not ours. As a participating community, we follow those guidelines. Bans is a blanket subforum that covers tags and server bans. We don't have enough activity in tags that warrant a separate section. It's just taking a little time because no one is getting paid to process tags at SR so it takes a little bit of time. I've already submitted the request to have you unmarked so that's the most I can do.

i can just say sorry for the agressive way i complained but that doesnt change my opinion about that topic. the way people getting tagged is not ok and i have alrdy shown that its not like "just post screen and its done". in this case there are a few more steps required and that costs time. well.. i dont wanna repeat myself now.. i think you are getting the matter of fact now. by the way if im not wrong the guy i traded with was not even marked as scammer at the time i got tagged. now i got a caution and even if it gets removed its just another case like this marking me as a scammer without a real reason because its the second caution and on steamrep -> 2 cautions = scam (fuck logic)

Rules are rules. SR is just a community, not Valve. They can't impose any real restrictions on trading. I don't see how it's illogical though. You're aiding someone that has scammed items from someone else, so you're encouraging their behavior, so in a way, you're just as bad as them, hence the same tag.

no. first of all -> if would have known he is a scammer (and im sure he wasnt marked at this time / doesnt matter i didnt check it anyway) i wouldnt have traded with him. and some1 who repped a scammer is also a scammer? pls google and find out what a scammer is. its senseless to talk about its same bad. fact is i would be marked as literally a scanner and nothing else.
i have over 350 trades and its just brainless to check everyone i'm trading with when its a trade with a low value. thats brainless only.

Hai. I did a check, but since I don't have access to any history logs or anything up to an SR Admin's view, I was able to see that you indeed traded with him, on a date where he wasn't tagged. Now it may have been an obvious scammer, given his profile appearance...but since there's no proof of how his profile exited before today that I can view...yeah. :ohno:

Unfortunately, your current tagging is quite fair, as it appeared to be, at that time, to the reporting administrator, that you had participated in false reputation, thus you were marked with a CAUTION, not a SCAMMER, you can very well trade with anyone and join any server, although it's the norm that people will generally want to avoid those with ANY marks what so ever. However, what you speak....sounds like Soviet Russia where you're guilty until proven innocent. That is not the case, as there were notes that you could appeal that tag since there was no solid evidence, besides an incriminating photo that was shown above. That was enough reason to warrant the tag.

I'm not gonna reply to your last few parts because I stand behind takethepant's post, but I'll add that...

Please read the SteamRep FAQ, as takethepants mentioned, the rules, are quite clear here. http://forums.steamrep.com/pages/faq/ It says it quite clear on the numbered violations. While you were marked for initially number 4, (Providing or soliciting fake reputation claims ("fake rep")) you appeared as also 1, (
Trading with known scammers (see below)) and 15, (Anything that is deemed as deceptive or fraudulent activity by SteamRep admins) Your actions and behavior appeared to be deceptive and fraudulent (exact definition of a scam(mer)). Fraud and Scams are quite serious (Even though it's for virtual goods) criminal offenses in some countries, and staying where VALve is located at, can result in but no where limited to, loss of all virtual items, suspension of a Steam Account, temporary or permanent removal from the Steam Network and even civil demands made by VALve to law enforcement.

ANYWAYS, before I drone on, the bottom line is, that's the way the rules are, if you don't like em, you're welcome to go on SteamRep and talk to an SR Admin or make a suggestion about their methods.

Requesting lock an appeal has already been made and approved there is no need for this discussion to continue.

Christ, calm your tits, people.

I'm removing the tag now.

In the future, I'd be a bit more cautious with who you're trading with, or leaving rep for. It's typically advised to NOT leave rep on Steam profiles, because it's easily faked, unmoderated (aside from the person who's account you're posting on), and nearly impossible to verify the validity of. Stick to rep threads on a forum where users don't have the ability to delete their own posts. It's more reliable, and most traders will actually take your rep seriously.
