So i have an idea that could put an end to all the "Banned for no reason" threads that come in pretty much everyday. You see, when people join a Skial server and aren't familiar that it has it's own set of rules that other quickplay servers don't have such as zero tolerance for racism and griefing, then they are usually confused when they are banned and blame it on abusive admins and so forth. If we were to introduce a brief description of Skial's rules when the player connects, i think it would greatly reduce said threads. Also, people would be more aware of the rules and we would more than likely see less and less racism, vote spam, griefing and other common violations.

Here is an example of what i'm talking about. This is from the Wicked Afterlife trade servers.

When a player connects to these servers, this is present on the upper right hand side of the players screen. When the player hits '1', the rules vanish and the player is free to go about his/her doing. When the player hits '2' or doesn't hit anything after a few minutes, they are kicked from the server with a notice that they did not agree to the rules and conditions.

Anywho, that's my idea. What do you guys think?

The general rules are and should be:
No scamming, sharking, racist, porn sprays and/or impersonating.
Somewhere chat+micspamming (on some servers is micspamming welcomed - as the DJ function, but it cannot be some 5 years old kid screaming "mom, ur chickn is burning")

By the way it won't end it. There will be still users saying as it is in every other community "hi i dont know why ban i never bad so unban me?"

i'm sure they will give it a quick look the first time they see it because so little servers do it
and because they did, they have no excuse for not understanding the rules

I think most people would just slam 1 once they see something pop up

even without the kick option, i think just flashing the rules would help improve what i went over, or not, either way it's an easy thing to plugin and it would do more good then harm, imo.

We already had that debate about how we should display the servers rules, a few months back if i remember correctly. And yeah Zebra is right, most people will just mash the 1 key and not pay attention to the rules ... because they just want to join the game quickly

People will still complain. Also, people will still say "HOW WAS I GRIEFING???" So they argue semantics anyways. I'm just going to mark this declined.
