I am not sure if Skial servers already disable this but I thought I would make a suggestion regarding this if it isn't disabled. I would like to suggest (if it isn't already), disabling the wait command as it allows the use of a rapid fire/detonate script for Demoman. This gives an unfair advantage to others who don't use such scripts and can be frustrating to go against Demomen that spam stickies everywhere.

It's enabled by default, why not check to see if it is enabled before making a suggestion about it?

Because those type of scripts use the wait command, technically it eliminates the brief delay between shooting stickies and detonating them and gives and unfair advantage over those who don't use scripts.


I'm sure it won't be the end of the world if some demo-men will need to improve their skills instead of relying on "winbombing" spam.
 
-1 demospam scripts aren't even effective and I sometimes use a wait script for vocal commands :|

Pretty sure those might be possible without the wait command.

Edit: So you rated my post dumb. Mind explaining why you think it's dumb? Not that I care either way, I think it's a perfectly logical suggestion.

A Note About The Wait Command
Valve has fixed the functionality of the sv_allow_wait_command server variable. When disabled (set to 0) the engine simply ignores and omits any wait commands that the server is given. Consequently, many scripts on this website are broken or will only function in very specific situations. This variable is set to 1 by default, but many servers base their server.cfg files off of competitive league settings, which typically disable wait commands. Furthermore, scripts that do loops (see Autopistol Script for an example) will crash your client when triggered.
 
How is it disabled and how do you check if it is?
Set sv_allow_wait_command to 0.
If it's a command that can be set with a number like viewmodel_fov or sv_pure, you can put the command in the console and in the suggestions it will pop up with what the server has it set to.

It doesnt really give an advantage, you can perform the same thing by pressing m1+m2.
Scripts have always been part of the advanced side of gaming with the quake/source engine.
wait is used in loads of scripts, as a lot dont work without the command, things like the jump/crouch script... most of these scripts are allowed in comp gaming, so why should they be blocked on public servers?
