These two people came on a server which is frequented by my clan [PPP]
Over the course of a few days, Bearded Kermit in particular has been trolling us.
We decided to let the trolling pass by. Until the day he started using our clan tag.
We expressed our feelings to him using our clan tag and asked him to remove it. Which he did not.
We do not want someone using our clan tag and smearing our name across Skial.
I personally took the matter to Zombie[NL], in which a 1 week ban was handed out this morning.
In which i have just received notice that the ban was lifted because clan tag impersonation isn't against the rules.
Not only do i feel that these two people should re-banned, i'd like to address the heart of the matter too.
It should be against the rules to impersonate a clan. It is against the rules to impersonate an Admin, and i believe this isn't any different. I do not see why impersonating a clan and ruining some of their credibilty should be allowed.
I believe there are many other different Clan Members who would share these thoughts. It isn't nice to have someone take your clan tag (without permission) and make a scene on a server.
The members of my clan have worked hard in making a good name for ourselves, and we have tried to deal with this matter in the fairest of manners before having to turn to a Skial Admin.
We have changed our clan tag from normal font [PPP] to a Microsoft Symbol [ppp] which is notably different. They then proceeded to copy such changes.
Evidence
Bearded Kermit - http://steamcommunity.com/id/ruffun
If you look under aliases, he uses not only our old clan tag, but our new one too.
Smitty - http://steamcommunity.com/id/notstanley
The same evidence under Aliases.
To prove they are not part of our clan, this is our clan page.
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ThePayloadPussayPatrol
From the evidence above, it is clear that
a) They are using our clan tag.
b) They are using it maliciously since they have both versions of our clan tag within their aliases.
c) They are not part of the PPP Clan.
Thanks for reading this long article/essay.
But i do hope that some Admins would not only stop this troll, but also see that Clan impersonation is not something that should be brushed over.
Thank you for your time.
