Why Was I Banned?

Somewhat Threatening Sniper
A couple of weeks ago I was playing on a Medieval server, getting a lucky killstreak with my Half-Zaitochi. I was surrounded by enemies, but the Zaitochi kept giving me health. A couple of seconds after I killed the last enemy, I was perma-banned by the console. Why? I didn't cheat, and I hadn't used any offensive language. Why did I get banned, and can I get un-banned?
 
I did not use any Aimbots. I don't even know how to install them. I went on that server beforehand, playing as a Spy, and I didn't get banned. I am not a cheater.
 
smac aimbot detection can be a false positive.

since he has no other bans on file anywhere else, it is possible smac was false.

compass, you are thinking about convar ddetection. that, cannot be a false positive. but based on how smac checks for aimbots, it can be false
 
Why did you wait nearly a month to contest the ban?

And you weren't cheating with melee, you must have been using something else. The aimbot plugin ignores melee weapons. Why lie if you're not cheating?

This module monitors players and clients on the server for any suspicious camera angles and snaps on the players camera. This module ignores melee weapons, Teleportation, and usually ignores the first detection as it's most likely a false positive.

Exclusively for people with pretty shitty comprehensive skills I've bolded out the lines that actually define the pattern of aimbot software. Now you want me to google for "what is aimbot"? Seriously...

(cYs) Del Piero: Regarding "melee weapon" shit... Tell me, If I told you that your grandma got owned by me grandpa and all his friends so they had gangbang, would you fucking believe me?

Btw, again.... If I got paid $1 every time I heard "I don't even know how to install aimbot" - I'd have been a billionaire.. I do have motherfucking zero tolerance towards hacking and would prefer not to give second chances. No matter what. Cheaters should thank God for Bottiger running this community.

PS. Bottiger's post above doesn't look promising. Are we doubting?
 
I looked at the code and it did not ignore katanas.

I will unban you and update SMAC.

However, it is highly unusual that you would trigger SMAC aimbot detection even with a melee weapon.
 
Ohh, seriously. Bottiger what makes you think that he has triggered SMAC aimbot detection when using melee weapon? Just because he said he was using it?
