Reactions: Doctor Who
I do a lot of photography, and one of my passions is drumming.

Just a basic Nikon D3000. Got it for cheap. Couldn't pass it up. I need to get a flash and some more lenses for it.

Might get a new body first. HD video would be nice.

I've always been interested in photography as a medium. I just think some people push it aside as a "oh anyone can take a good pic" it gets a bad rep from things like Instagram and their " oh man look how deep I am with my grey scale and sepia shades"

I wonder how famous, now dead painters feel about cameras

"You have something that instantly does what I spent days/weeks working on and still couldn't replicate entirely?"

one of the reasons why Realism and landscapes aren't as respected as they should be. : (

I think Toxik will agree with me when I say that
Nothing
NOTHING
drives me battier than when someone gets a decent camera, then suddenly starts a photography group/business/project. MLG 420 no-scope pro with a camera.

I've always been a wannabe photographer but I can't afford a $700 T3i.
it's not the camera, but the photographer. don't be fooled. you don't need an expensive camera to be a good photographer. Although expensive cameras are pretty nice.
The exception to that is: sports photography, and if you need very high-res pictures.

eh, yes and no. a painting is worth so much more than a picture.

This is what my current english paper is about. The writer I'm responding to said that since we've replicated old paintings that the original message is lost and current culture rewrites the meaning.
