Approved Remove donators' immunity to AFK kicker.

I've checked Suggestions section and wasn't able to find anything about removing donators' immunity to AFK kicker.

That's being said I'm suggesting to either remove this immunity or to set up a time limit for donators after which they would be kicked for being AFK.
The reason why I'm suggesting that is because there are more and more donators on 2fort+ | Chicago server that are AFK in a spawn zone for more than 20 minutes. They are taking up the slots thus not contributing to the game play and preventing other players from joining the server.

I particularly see no reason for donators to have this immunity in the first place. If they're AFK, they should be kicked, and if they want to join a server later - they should still be able to even though it might be full.

Even if you donate and you are afk you are moved to spectate. You do not get kicked from the server from spectate though.
 
There hasn't been any complaints about this until now since donators have always been a small percentage of players.

If it is a problem now we can consider removing it.

However, I feel it is better to let a few donators AFK a while than to have them rejoin and kick people with reserved slots multiple times.
 
is it possible to have the limit be stupid long just incase someone falls asleep or something?

I mean, I don't know why someone would mind being kicked if they'ed been afk for an hour. :-/ Especially since they have reserve slots.
 
Even if this was to be implemented, not only would it upset a lot of people, but as Bott said, there would be more frequent people kicked from the server because of reserved slots, possibly causing an uproar from out playerbase.
 
yes, they are moved to spectate, but they still hold a player-slot.
as long as the server is not full it's no big deal, but when the server is full,
they are preventing new players from joining the server.

so a timelimit sounds good.

I don't think he's talking about like 5 mins of afk, it's not an uncommon occurrence atleast in US22 for players to be there 8 hours with 0-20 points, I think at that point we should auto kick. +1

i know sometimes when i have afk i might go hang out in a server to atleast have a human player in it untill it starts to fill up more

No they are not.
Yesterday Abel had been AFK for over 25 minutes staying in the spawn zone. And he was not moved to specs. And I see more and more people like that.
I'm a donator. I'll try to stay AFK today and see if it's gonna move me to spectate.

If that is happening they are bypassing the plugin. There's nothing we can do to detect people as their behavior patterns look the same as an unskilled player. The only option is to report.

Yeah.. I got move to specs in 2 minutes. So I assume Abel yesterday was either bypassing the plugin or was shaking his mouse every 2 minutes.
But is it reasonable to let donators stay in spectator mode for more than 10 minutes (especially between 6 and 10 pm during the peak hours) or not - you decide.
 
shaking the mouse don't work
if you play sniper and camp on the same spot,
you also get afk warnings while you are busy killing people.

you have to move your feet to prevent afk

Immunity to AFK kicker is still listed on the donation page.

I got kicked out of the server for being AFK yesterday. So I think that it's working.
Oaky is right though. Information on Donation Page should be updated to reflect the actual benefits people will get from donating.
