Got banned for no proper reason

  • If you are not the person that was banned/muted, you are only allowed to post evidence. Trash talk is unnecessary.

I feel like the solution here is to not let yourself be provoked by children on the internet

Also, if you're going to make it your mission to get "innocent" people banned by way of provocation, don't be surprised if you get banned (again)

This is what I've learned about how exactly you can by-pass rules on the server, without breaking them, but getting others banned.

I won't get banned for provocation, since judging by this thread, provocation is allowed.
 
What you're doing is nitpicking what everyone has said to you while simultaneously disregarding the fact that you were legitimately banned for being a bigot

You are then taking what you've nitpicked and then somehow(which is funny) threatening(?) us with the prospect of you quite literally wasting your time on our servers by attempting to provoke people into a fit of rage that rivaled your own for your initial ban

I'm not threatening, provocation is allowed, if I'll feel like it, I'll provocate someone into breaking rules and get away with it, since these guys obviously did the same, and got away.
Why should they be any better, if they can provocate and get away with so can anyone.
I was the victim, and still am. But I've learned and justice isn't exactly what it means here.

Do you understand that you're banned, not just because for getting mad at players for votebanning (or in your case, voteabusing) you, but for breaking the rule of "any insults regarding race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation?" You see yourself as innocent but the admin that banned you for 4 days did not for that specific reason? Your title of this thread is wrong, because this alone is a proper reason why you are banned for 4 days.

People do not put up with this kind of crap. Get over and learn from it. There is no reason now to turn into an asshole just because you feel like you should from this experience..

Provocated. It was a reply when he started some shit about jail and me with his boyfriends.
I respect admin's decision. Indeed, I got banned for a proper reason.
Provocators are not punished, nor will be, as they did not break any rules. They made me look guilty through provocation. Meaning, that anyone can provocate someone like that without getting banned. I'm not saying that I will start provocating people to get banned, just pointing out that this is a structural weakness in your rule system, as anyone innocent, provocated by trolls can get banned.

Look man, I understand this. But you need to learn that trolls are trolls.
You can't changed them over the internet. Mostly everyone needs to learn to ignore such comments from trolls because if it is one thing I've learned from the internet:
People who "love" to troll have no life.
Understand that people will never change their minds. It's the aspect of ignoring that makes you a better person than they are. Don't try to be one of them because of this experience. Learn from it and understand how trolls work. They feed off the anger of many players. The only cure is to ignore.


And if that doesn't work, leave the server and come back in a couple of hours (or play on a different server.) You got to relax and not let Provocators get to you.

it isn't a structural weakness. Attempting to police any attempt at provocation is a gigantic waste of time because a prospective rule to protect against this would be extremely vague at the very best. It is also entirely possible that more "innocent" people would be banned because of it.

If people feel as though they are being harassed they should take screenshots of said harassment and refrain from exploding on those who are doing the provoking

it's pretty simple

We are what, at junior high? Are you 10 yo? When people are harrasing you in offensive bannable manner what you do is you report them here on the forums instead of using racial slurs and sexual offenses against them.

look, seriously, can you find their steam profiles? Can you do that so that an admin or one of us forum flies can look through thier catlogs to see if they've broken any rules whatsoever?

Right now you look like you're pitching a fit because you know you're wrong.
 
Just a short explanation for Eddie so he would not consider Skial to be a hostile community.

Dude, there are certain things that this community has zero tolerance to. Some of them are racism and sexuality related offenses. We do assume here that players are capable of handling Internet trolling and not to have anger management issues because of that. That actually explains why excuses like "they started first, they provoked me, so I had to call them niggers/fags" are not being considered or taken seriously. If you feel like your sexual orientation or your race are being offended - please report it in appropriate section on this forum and offenders will be dealt with accordingly.

Other than that, you've broken Skial rules and you have to carry your punishment out.
Hope you understand the situation and in future will act mature.
