Got banned for no proper reason

  • If you are not the person that was banned/muted, you are only allowed to post evidence. Trash talk is unnecessary.

Screenshot provided. As of the insult towards me, I believe you can view them in the logs.
I'm expecting them to get banned, since they basically broke at least 2 rules as well.

So far it seems more like they provoked you, which is not against the rules as long as they didn't use any racial/gay slurs: Voteabuse could be bannable but that depends on what kind of votes, the amount and at what time. You can't expect people to get banned because you defended yourself in a way that broke the rules.

Provocation is allowed? Oh boy, I guess I won't get banned if I provoke someone into breaking rules, I guess. Will be fun seeing innocent people get banned for breaking rules, and getting away with it. /sarcasm

I'll let the admins judge whether the provokers broke any rules or not, I'm simply stating that provoking is not against the rules whereas calling people discriminating slurs is.

The rules said:
  • Spamming.
  • Hacking (your main account will be banned if you are cheating with a spare account).
  • Using exploits (e.g., killing somebody with a flamethrower through a gate before the round has begun).
  • Any insults regarding race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. Nobody on server being offended is not a loophole. This does not include simple discussion of these topics in an intellectual manner.
  • Scamming.
  • Admin impersonation.
  • Posting other people's personal and private information without proper consent.
  • Dodging (disconnecting and reconnecting to avoid being muted, gagged, banned, and/or kicked).
  • Sprays that are illegal as per the laws in the country where the server is located.
  • Harming your team for an extended period of time. (e.g., blocking sniper views, teleporter traps, refusing to help advance your teams position). The lobby servers are subject to stricter interpretation of this rule.

I do not believe they broke any of these rules.
I'm kinda gonna leave this to the admins, as well. I am not an admin, so I don't think I have the authority to say if the others will be banned or not.
If I were you, I'd take the ban, walk away, come back when this ban is over, and keep playing like nothing happened. The ban is not long.

Vote abusing.
And harming your team I believe, since it all started when i called JP a coward because he changed to a team that didn't need help after getting balanced to RED, which was getting raped by BLU. He's not a man, he's a child.

Did the insult involve, as the rules say, "race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation."?
Vote abuse.. Erm, I don't see it. I only see an incorrect ban reason. It was not entirely racism, but it was insulting. The picture that you posted says that the vote occurred at 4:01 PM, which is after you started a shitstorm about English people being faggots and whatnot.
Harming your team is teleporter trapping and whatnot. Not stacking teams.

I believe insulting someone's mother and insulting you in forms of homosexuality is a bannable offence.
Vote abuse was true, it happened after everything settled.

Vote abuse = needs evidence. (The picture tells me that they were votebanning you after you insulted them and their sexuality directly)
Insulting = needs evidence. (Find the other's players profiles/steam IDs and link me to them. The only way to see if they were insulting you is by their chatlogs.)
EDIT: Oh wait, the family insulting thing is not bannable. The sexuality may be bannable.

please keep in mind that insulting your mother is not a bannable offense, but bigotry is. If you have evidence of bigotry or spamming of votemenu you have more of a chance of them being banned as well.

Can't an admin just the their chatlogs the same way he did mine? It's not that hard.
 
Fine, I see where this is going when the rules didn't have anything against family insult.
I've learned from this conversation a lot.
1. I will be like these guys that got me banned from now on. (I guess people like assholes.)
2. Since provocating is not against rules, I will probably get some innocent players banned. (Is not bannable, judging by this thread.)
3. Get my friends on and vote ban people. (Judging by this thread, as long as there's no screenshot, there will be no ban.)
4. Insult their parents. (Judging by the threat, not bannable.)
This is what I've learned about how exactly you can by-pass rules on the server, without breaking them, but getting others banned.
