Can't we just have a timer when only one person is left and just kill Saxton if he doesn't kill the last person in that time?
 
I'd prefer that once there are at least 3 people left, a timer starts counting down before it ends in a stalemate. Perhaps 2 minutes?

This sounds like it would be very hard to be configured. There should be a round time limit anyway...something reasonable I agree somewhere inbetween 5-10 minutes. With the reports section being 90% Saxton Hale issues, this will atleast stop Saxton from griefing and not killing people.
 
have the timer start when the control point opens (i.e. when Saxton has two players left to kill)
 
I've played in servers where there is a time limit from the start and it works fine. +1 as long as it is a time limit from the start.
 
There's too much griefing jerkoffs in there to start it off at a certain period of time, no reason to not have it at the very beginning.

ah yea. should we do something elaborate and have the timer start at 5 minutes and have a custom plugin that adds time based on how much damage is dealt? maybe something along the lines of +10 seconds when Hale kills a player, +1 seconds for every couple hundred HP of damage dealt to Hale, +1 minute when the cap is available and stop damage-based additions?

This is too much effort - why not just make a time limit? 10 minutes is a reasonable time limit to expect a round to be over, people get bored and nobody wants to sit around and watch saxton circle jerk with the opposite team. It apparently happens a lot so lets just put a 10 min time limit and be done with it.
 
Yea, shouldnt be too short of a time, some poeple are wise, or hale is just a jackass and is hiding from the remaining players to kill time
 
Much needed. You wouldn't believe how many Citizens, Spy Crabs, Friendly Hoovies, or Rocket Jumper Soldiers there are in Hale whose sole purpose is to drag out the round.
