Square peg in round hole, was not intended as a pun, it reflects my belief that marriage was made for a man and woman, well it's actualy more than a belief, it is a fact. My thinking is that marriage should be kept for a man and woman, gay 'marraige' should not be connected to this ceremony in anyway.
My belief is that in the majority of cases, it is a choice which is developed through childhood, I did hang out in the gay scene for a while with some good friends of mine, and a lot of the people I talked to had been victims of sexual assault whilst children, and a lot were just men who would do anything for sexual gratification, and it was easier for them to gain a sexual experience with another man, just because of the promiscious behaviour that men naturaly exhibit. If homosexuality is genetic, then the species would be facing it's own extinction, the easiest way to understand this is by thinking of it in darwinian terms.
Darwinism is
obviously something you do not understand, then, if you think that homosexuality would kill off the species.
Here's a pretty neat point about Darwinism: Homosexuals
typically do not procreate. This is kinda required in order to evolve into a "gay species" and eventually die off. So that, right off the bat, will never happen.
Don't confuse "genetic" with "hereditary". While two parents may not have any family history of Down's Syndrome, a "glitch" in procreation can result in a child being born with the condition. Just the same, a genetic "glitch" may also be responsible for homosexuality. This is a genetic condition, which may or may not be hereditary.
Chances are that if you actually believe that it's a choice, then you don't actually know any real gay people. Maybe you knew some confused high school kids who had no idea what to do with the hormones ravaging through their bodies, and would (quite literally) fuck anything with a pulse. Or maybe you know people who experimented, to find out what they really are attracted to.
But here's the thing about sexuality:
It's not a choice. Nobody chooses to be attracted to what they're attracted to. I didn't choose to be attracted to women, and my gay friends didn't choose to be attracted to their same gender. Just like pedophiles don't choose to be attracted to children, necrophiliacs don't choose to be attracted to dead bodies, masochists don't choose to be turned on by physical pain, and zoophiles don't choose to be attracted to animals.
Sexual abuse as a child typically isn't going to turn somebody gay, either. You can't "make" somebody gay. It just doesn't work that way. If somebody was abused as a child, and they turned out to be gay, then odds are that they already had a genetic predisposition (again, not to be confused with hereditary) to homosexuality, otherwise they still be attracted to the opposite gender.
Sexuality, as a whole, is really rather scientific. If you actually do some research, there isn't a whole lot of mystery involved these days. We've come to understand what it is that makes people tick, and why people are turned on to certain things.
However, there
is a "gay lifestyle". This is undeniable. Gay people have embraced their sexuality and developed a culture behind it. Much in the same way that those into S&M have embraced their kinks and made a leathery, studded culture behind it, as well. There's various gay fashions and cultures and a certain way that gay people carry themselves. However, this doesn't apply to all gay people, just like not all masochists are into the "dungeon" fashion scene, either. The gay lifestyle isn't to be confused with "making a choice" to be gay.
You make a choice to wear a gay V-neck tee shirt. You don't make a choice to get a boner when you see two dudes making out.
But yeah. Darwinism. Let's go back to that for a bit.
Homosexuality is present in - literally - dozens of different species of animals. These species are not endangered, nor are they at risk of going extinct because the outlier gay penguin couple.
Darwin would be rolling in his grave if he could see that people are seriously considering homosexuality to be a cause for species going extinct.
My thinking is that marriage should be kept for a man and woman, gay 'marraige' should not be connected to this ceremony in anyway.
This part is particularly worrying. What justification do you have for suggesting that gay couples shouldn't get married or have a ceremony? Why should they not be entitled to the same happiness that anybody else in life desires?
You know, just 40 years ago, people like you said the same thing about blacks marrying whites. And I'm sure you'd agree that, looking back, those people look narrow-minded, ignorant, and really fucking foolish. No?
