New and being harassed? Who are these people?

I just have my strong opinion on this matter and personally, I would've banned cyber bullies on the fly. Bottiger is too liberal to implement the rule about bullying and I do see his point somewhere. He cares about servers' population and assumes that people can handle their personal conflicts by themselves. Unfortunately, that is not always the case.

you mean i retaliated towards someone who was 'bullying' me, so in the end i was the 'bully' that 'bullied' the 'bully' back. in the end the 'bully' got 2 hours of 'bullying' me before i could even 'bully' back, which to me sounds pretty justified considering i was votemuted for two maps due to 'votebullying' because the 'bully' felt like f2p's shouldn't be able to sit at the table with all the elitist 'bullies' that stole lunch money from other 'bullied' people to buy an in-game item on TF2. but i agree, that's another story that already warranted it's own thread.

trying to justify that as 'bullying' would be like giving the fat kid in this video the 'bully-'stamp. (i believe we've all seen the video though)

If someone is doing what you described, altho not against any rules, you still have something you can do to deal with it. Type !votemenu into chat. From the Vote Menu choose the Gag/Mute option and select the annoying person's name. This will start a vote to have the person gagged&muted. Problem solved.

ok check this out, if you people think that iam hyper sensitive.. allow me to go on this server and do what this person has done to me and see how many people call me out on it, and post me up on this forum for doing exactly what this garbage has done to me.. You see until it is done to you.. You don't really give care and it's just a game// if you don't care don't respond to me on this thread, because I don't want to hear about you and how your game time is... for the majority of my time in this game it has been a positive one.. This is just one troll online that I have had a problem with and some of you people act like there are people in life like this that don't exists, you people live in some kind of fantasy world.... people get harrased on and offline.. I dealy with it by not going back to that map ever again and I rarely play on the server now and I was atually new here.. I now use other servers because this person is a regualr here.....I see he obviously has some of u as a pet or a pimp
 
the person in question has 14 hours of connection time to Skial servers

it's highly unlikely that any of the forum users or admins have actually interacted with this person

I might suggest a client side mute and avoiding this person at all costs. Add some of the admins to your friends list if you do decide to play with him again so that you can call them in discretely and quickly so that they can witness this harassment first hand.

harassment isn't okay

provide ample evidence to have him punished accordingly
 
It's no big deal.. I came to a conclusion... all of what he said in the chat was a lie.. like he was a "member of this server for years, etc..." I will just END this ...

Kudos for moving on Zawadi. :] Even though what he said to you was a lie, and on top of that the people who didn't take you seriously; There will be people like me and Psychorealm who will be by yourside and many others. Skial has a reputation for some of its members being arrogant pricks. Hopefully I'll meet you in a game Zawadi!

Unfortunately, that is not the case. Skial has a reputation of a community that has members that are known for excessive trolling and I have pointed it out multiple times not only here but in my private conversations with Bottiger as well.

I also can bring multiple examples of communities (not necessarily TF2 communities) that use forums as a source of communication, not trolling.

please do that. can't wait to see the next melodramatic post about some person talking about 'what has been done to me' like somebody got raped and now has to carry the burden of emotional scars throughout the life that hunt that persons 'dreams', visages of people calling you by the wrong gender and saying your mom is dead.

besides, don't buddhists believe in karma? you could take solace in the fact that this person will be going to naraka for the grave injustice he has conceived here.
 
Here is what I say if someone is annoying you just client mute them and do what ever the fuck you want its your game and the game was made for fun so have fun.

Go on and speak about your "religious" questions to someone who actually cares. "Don't Buddhist believe in Karma.. Well it would not be to see someone harmed. This is how most people view "karma"... I bet you are one of those people also.

I did not post the entire convo that was said to me in tha game, because 90% of it would not have been appropriate to write here anyway.... I would like you to not grow some skin but shed yours and crawl back under a rock.
