So I'm the server admin for the brotato squad mumble, teamspeak, minecraft, tf2 server. Giildy has op on Minecraft and I'd like to report that it hasn't burst into flame yet!

No, they are not the same. Only a few of the admins have moderator powers on the forum.
You know... Something that I think some people that are complaining don't understand... If Giildy becomes admin that doesn't automatically mean she's got immunity. She can't break the rules. She can't abuse her powers. If she does abuse her powers and you happen to be the victim of such her powers will be taken away.
We here at Skial don't mess around. The game is fun but being an admin is serious business.
If you have a legitimate gripe against Giildy then I suggest you post it publicly. If she does get admin and in turn retaliates against you for posting it publicly she will lose her admin position.
I feel as though I've said this a few times already and people are still like, "OH NO!!! I HAS TEH FEARS THAT SHE WILL HURT ME!!!" God damnit, people... It's the Internet and this is a game. Stop being a bunch of pansies and stand by your convictions.
So far I've seen ONE legitimate gripe. Other than that I've heard a lot of "we don't get along" or "I heard from some dude on this server she used to play on that she's a meanie".
And one thing that I think everybody needs to understand... Being an admin automatically means somebody won't like you just because you're even close to being admin. There are people that don't like ME. When my admin application went through I'm pretty sure there were a few -1's. I'm sure somebody called me a fascist pig that wants to take the fun out of the game. It's going to happen when you're in a position of power. You can't let it bother you or let it color your decisions as admin. The admin position exists to protect the fun of the game for EVERYBODY. However, somebody will try to ruin that fun and will bitch when they get bitten by a ban.,

but think of a flame war a pile of crap.... better to step in it when its been there for a while rather than fresh.......... or just avoid the whole damn thing to begin with :p
