Admin/Moderator/Time Slave Application

ok after hearing that gilldy was applying for admin on turbine i had to sign up to skial and make a post, the fact that shes a woman of 23 doesn't matter and shouldn't be a consideration in skials decision. what should matter is her willingness to use her power to suite her emotional needs. i have read the whole thread so far and see the usual turbine guys giving her a plus 1, that's because they are friends and what friend is going to give you a negative review? what you wont see is people like me who have seen gilldy(and yes im spelling her name wrong on purpose because it became a personal piss off point fer her when i failed to spell it correctly on turbine) act like an immature woman who has said things on turbine that don't follow the rules. its not easy to capture peoples mics on turbine like it is with a screen shot of there text, that's why you'll hear all the rules get broken by people with mics. as far as turbine being this complete mess requiring an immediate admin to clean it up is not really the case, turbine at night has a usually following of regulars that for the most part work well with others, sure at times you'll have a few bruised egos and hurt feelings but that's what happens when teams get switched all the time. but what you wouldn't want is a REGULAR player becoming an admin of the very same server they haunt on a regular basis, this will create an instantaneous resentment for those who oppose "gilldy's logic and instant power" and towards skial for placing a turbine regular into a position of power over their peers. this has always caused issues since the beginning of forums and game servers.
that's why i cant really support gilldys accent to admin, BUT if she is promoted then she should be promoted to another server, not on her regular server turbine, this will only create issues and a lot of bad blood among those players who are loyal to skial, yet may have issues with gilldy, its just good management to reduce conflicts and promote others to different departments and skial has plenty of servers that she could admin over. and from what i have seen and others have voiced, turbine at the wee hours doesn't really have too many issues that aren't worked out by themselves as a community, after all isn't that what skial is trying to do? promote a community?
this isn't a personal attack on gilldy, and shouldn't be taken as one, im sure she's a great person, has a great voice, and has plenty of friends on skial, i know i have personally added more friends since playing on skial, it was the friendly regulars that made me stay on skial servers not the draconian rule beating that kept me loyal. and that's what skial should strive to keep, and yes from time to time there are people who deserve to be kicked off from playing but even they too have the rights of free speech, you cant control everyone's actions, and sometimes people just have bad days, if you banned them all you'd see a decline in traffic and a lot of bad word of mouth. and its not like steam hasn't provided a way to silence those who annoy you, just mute them. and if they resort to typing offensive comments well then you can screen shot there texts and have proof to report with.

I love how many people have been bringing up "great voice" as a point here... As if all the admins even have mics.
Also, one should know that within the realm of Skial if you're an admin on one server you're an admin on all servers. My main "post" if you will is US21 Dustbowl... However, I'm willing to go and have gone to any server to take care of business. All you have to do is add me on Steam, send me a message if I'm online, and I'll be there as soon as TF2 loads. However, point being, there's no such thing as an admin for just one server. We're admins on all servers and that's how we work.
Also, take note... Skial admins are not above the rules. In fact we're held to a higher level of scrutiny than anybody. Admin abuse is absolutely not tolerated and admin powers have been taken away on both temporary and permanent basisses. Having emotions are obviously allowed if you're an admin, but once emotions and admin powers become intertwined is when we have problems.
If Giildy (spelled correctly because I don't go out of my way to troll somebody to get an emotional rise out of them, knowing that it pisses them off) becomes an admin on the servers of Skial she will be both trained and watched. If need be, I'll follow her around while I'm on to keep an eye on her for a while, just to make sure things are A-OK.

? I'm not sure what your point right here is. You do realize that all admins here are/were regular players right? You do realize that I don't think I would have instant super powers right? I wouldn't be making any new rules dude, I'd just be enforcing the ones that already exist. As it is I get some resentment when I join turbine in the dead of night and certain people are on because they know I'll tattle when things get too out of line. Admins are admins for all servers. Not just the one. I'm not even sure what all this weird bad blood talk is coming from. o.0 (oh shit, is this because I didn't like the way you talked to me sometimes? and/or because I didn't take to you badgering me over steam?) So... what you're saying here is that you don't like me and if I had admin you wouldn't what? Play turbine again? You leave when you see me as is. I creeped on your chat page to see if you were talkin about me and it seems like you do indeed do that on purpose.
So, what are you saying here exactly? This is not a personal attack against me, except it has to be because it is infact against me, not all admins or admin candidates ever. You talk about the 'right to free speech' which suggests you aren't aware of the fact that private communitites have the right to moderate their members. The rule you would rail against is that of racism or mic spam. I think the protocol for either of those things is what? A warning, then a kick, then a 30 min gag then something more? Maybe it's a more severe increase when it comes to racism. Who knows. I'm not an admin, I'll need to become learned in the ways of policy if they ever want me to help out.
You also talk about my voice which pisses me off because fuck you. I have a 'great voice' isn't a qualifier for anything but bullshit sexism. The only fucking thing that could possibly make it 'great' is that it sounds super feminine sometimes. I could sound like an 80 year old man, or I could sound like an 8 year old boy, what the fuck difference would it make. Neither my voice nor my gender should have a thing to do with my ability to admin or mod, and I'm not about to act like that wasn't an insult. I'm pretty sure you're the one that brought it up my gender first, pretty sure no one else on this thread has mentioned it. Nor have they mentioned my voice. :-/

ugh god, Now I remember you, you were the kid that got super mad when you kept trying to ask me about the state and speed of my internet connection and I would reply with something along the lines of "I just told you all about it yesterday and I don't really care about nor am i impressed by the technical details." Osmosis is mad and misinformed. I in turn become mad. I then remember that he was angry at me for what I can only assume was not chatting him up for extended periods of time.
I've been busy wth work and schooling, its difficult for me to get on TF2 when I need sleep to get up at 6am since I got a new job, pays more but needs me to spend more time out of the house.

Na it's cool, I pretty much only get mad when people call my being a girl out as a reason for special treatment. It got close to that. If I were actually mad I would just start spamming with pictures of animals with little captions that say things like 'Wtf is this shit' or possibly 'Do you believe this shit right here?'

People judge Giildy on her voice? I voted for her cause she's a genuinely nice person who actually gives a shit about people and the community. I mean, who else around here takes time out to give someone an impromptu psychiatric evaluation? Giildy is awesome.
