Mann Co. crates aren't generally worth very much... Premium is usually worth 2-3 keys.

No No he's right,i mean.There's not much difference between 0.5 scrap and 2 keys.The 2 prices are like,really close.:p

The prices of crates vary very much from actual buyable things. To put it into perspective for you...

Your crate is 3 cents in USD.
A premium gift is $5 in USD.

If you are able, spending a small $5 on the game is very much worth it since you get premium and some items. If you cant spend the money you can always try asking a good friend whos also on steam. I bought my cousin premium before steamcards were released in Canada because he was too young to have a debit card that worked online.
