When did this happen? Just Now

Which server did this happen on? Zombie Escape

Any other information
Zero abused the vote system to prevent the server from starting a new map vote at 5 minutes left. In the first clip you can watch the original map vote. I said "F2 F2 and we can just revote for banban again in a few seconds!"
Then you can watch me count timer down because I was a zombie. He didn't want to give the map banban a second chance, so he abused the vote system as highlighted in the 2nd video.

The game mode was already on casual to begin with.

I don't think you know how map voting works.

Map votes happen around 6 minutes left on map timer. After that, within less than a minute if there is not one map clearly ahead it does a runner up vote that decides which map is next. There is no other map vote after this unless the map is extended and the next map vote doesn't happen until after like 20 or 30 minutes for another map vote. There is no "new map vote at 5 minutes left".

I don't know what you mean by "revote for banban again in a few seconds" when you would have to either wait the 20 or 30 minutes for the next vote which only happens if you extend or have people rtv, neither of which happened by the way.

The reason why I did the casual vote, which spoiler alert isn't because of your schizophrenic mind reading of me not wanting to give your map a chance, is because I did not want someone to call a Normal Mode vote before or at the start of the next map. The team was struggling on that map with Casual Mode and would've struggled on Normal Mode next map too, so I wanted to keep it Casual Mode so we could at least have a better chance.

If you think the reason above doesn't make sense, here is the person in question who not only does these Normal Mode votes all the time but was specifically the person at this time trying to go Normal Mode when the team was already losing:

I know that you're like obsessed with me and just have a hate boner for me because I call you mean words online. It's why not only did you think it was a good idea to submit this retarded nonsensical report but why you also went later on the server to yap about how you reported me.

But you should keep your reports to ones that make sense like you recording clips from months ago of me saying gamer words that you only bring up for reports when I make you assmad.

Ok so let me get this straight... a vote passed for the next map. Then it was followed by a vote for casual mode. What does that actually do to the current game/map?

So you would rather have someone troll vote and go normal mode and result in numerous losses?

The vote for casual mode keeps it on casual mode, as opposed to allowing someone (usually from the zombie team) to troll and set it to normal to give the zombies a buff.

It forces the mode vote to be put on cooldown, which makes people unable to change it to normal for a few minutes. This is sometimes done on purpose to ensure a struggling team can remain on the easier difficulty, as a random normal mode vote passing can severely injure a weaker team's momentum and chances of winning.

I don't see how that's vote abuse.

On 6/20/2024 at around 10:15PM Skial time you called me a "pedophiliac dog fucker who touches children" for nominating Santa, then went on flame me for the next several minutes. You laughed and thought it was funny. I really did not. If the admins want to investigate this, they can check the server history who was on around that time. I have included a timestamp, I AM NOT REPORTING MATO, Zero lead him on and also tried to rally others against me.

Kalashinikov, he literally admitted to abusing the vote system in writing. "I did not want someone else to use the vote system" He does this very commonly and I finally got fed up.

This is a separate issue and will need it's own report.

His reasoning may not be the best strategy, but it does not appear that this is vote abuse.

Like I said, maybe not the best strategy, but it does not appear to be abuse at this point.
I wouldn't consider it abuse in this example. People can certianly abuse the difficulty vote for various reasons but here it was being done to keep the dificulty consistent so somebody doesn't randomly change it in the middle of the run

I believe I've mentioned it before but I'd love if the difficulty vote could only be done once per round which would really stop this from ever being a problem

So launching a normal or causal vote in the middle of a round might be considered abuse?

We can't go through every possible scenario. If a player is doing a casual/normal vote with good intent, even if it might not be the optimum choice, we want to be careful not to punish for that. Maybe a warning first if it gets out of hand but it's hard to say for every possible case.

An example of vote abuse is when someone vote-silences/bans/kicks someone else for fun and no other reason.

This case here is not so clear and easy so we give the benefit of the doubt.

Depends really. If its being done by one person multiple times during a single run then sure but context is pretty important here
I'm really not trying to be finicky or argumentative, but my first mute was for "vote abuse" for trying to keep Rizomata on noob mode with -9 and some other people because we wanted to finish the map, but the regulars were hopping on and they kept trying to rtv/change to normal to kill the run to go elsewhere. You could even see other people saying keep it on noob mode in my original report.

I would really appreciate to know exactly where the line lays on this in case people start reporting me in retaliation. Is it only okay to keep the difficulty locked if you're leader? Like I said, Zero does this very, very commonly and will lock the vote system out, sometimes for hours at a time. He's very skilled and knowledgeable about the exactly when the vote timer goes up, and I'm pretty sure he has a bind to change difficulty on top of that.

If I'm understanding right, if I'm leading a normal run and someone keeps trying to change the difficulty to casual I can report them?

That's different because you admitted to doing it to be funny and grief others: https://www.skial.com/threads/tf2-appeal-ashenone.112558/

Locking this thread because this matter about Zero1763 is closed. If you wish to continue exploring vote-abuse cases, you will need to do so in the appropriate thread.
