i think the only class slot that cant change from default is the spys sapper....
any thoughts on what would be a cool alternative?
i was thinking maybe a ranged version?
or maybe something that just stuns the sentry for a while instead of drains its hp?

what do you all think? (not necessarily on my ideas but post your own below)

EDIT: it has been pointed out that the engi PDA hasnt really changed (with the exception of gunslinger making a small adjustment) any thoughts on what they could do with this also?

Could be converted into a personal teleporter, so the spy can select a spot on the map, Rmouse, and beam me up scotty.

The sapper already stuns the sentry and a ranged version would just be stupid and op.
 
I had an idea for the sapper. here are the stats i had thought of:
On Destruction: 75% of building health returns as explosion damage
-20% sap speed
+30% Explosion radius

The sapper is annoying as it is and you're suggesting a version that creates an explosion when destroying somthing? yeahno
 
what about laser sappers
-Kill everyone in 500 meter radius
+500% sap speed
+8000% sentry vulnerability
-no random critical hits and +0,5 sec uncloak time
 
The cool thing would be that the alien swarm parasites would multiply in your backpack : ) And when you run out of backpack room you couldn't get any weapon drops, until you manually delete them. If you don't have any in your backpack, but you can catch them in game if you're dominated by someone wearing a parasite : )
There could be a parasite repellent that would get them away maybe.
 
How about a timed bomb that does damage not only to the building but everything around it as well. Make it so it so it either A) has a longer timer or B) damage done is enough to get gun dangerously low on HP but not strong enuff to completely destroy it without help.

What about:
+Damage done to sentry +20%
+Can't be destroyed 2 seconds after placement
-Can be destroyed in one hit
-100 HP for spy?
 
I like the ranged sapper idea, but to balance it the cooldown should be way higher, or it shold be able to be removed by everybody regardless of if they have a wrench or a homewrecker/maul.
Otherwise they'd be like huntsman snipers hiding up in the attic spamming sappers out the door hoping for that lucky headshot/sentry sap.
