Worth of Steam Cards in Items

So what exactly are the numbers here?

I had my own brother interrupt my drooling on a warm croissant because some idiot friend of his was offering a Steam Trading Card Beta invite crap and a Scoot Trading card for his Mann Co Supply Crate Keys.

Considering the rate which they're adding people I would say the invite is mostly worthless. I think the trading cards aren't worth THAT much. I guess it depends what cards you have. My understanding is you can only get a certain number of cards and you have to trade to get the rest.
