Wondering why im banned??

I play almost daily on your skial.com badwater payload map. Ive made a lot of friends there and enjoy the server a lot. Today I was just playing, had a nice eng base set up to defend our last capture point and all of a sudden I was disconnected and banned without reason. I checked the website and is says permenant. I have never done anything durring gameplay or durring trading to ever constitute a ban. Did an admin just decide they dont like me??? I'd like to get this resolved and keep playing here, or do i need to find a new home? Thanks
 
According to sourcebans, you were banned by SMAC (Skial's hack detection) for Autofire.
"Auto-Fire - Player holds down +attack and fires semi-auto weapons as if they were full-auto." Edit: Or you guys can beat me to it.
 
I didnt hold the button down, I just pressed fire a whole lot of times in a row with the pistol (little reload time). Was unaware that could be constituted as cheating. If thats the case, I wont do it again.

Actually, regardless of whether or not you are using scripts, it's fairly unlikely this was a false positive. I'm all for keeping you banned, but should you come clean you are more likely to be given a second chance.
 
I'm being completely honest. I was an eng with a pistol. I was getting bombarded by spies and when I saw one in the distance I clicked fire on my pistol over and over several times, hoping to reveal one. I had a dispenser near so I had unlimited ammo. I didnt use anything to modify gameplay in anyway. I had to manually click the mouse for each pistol fire. That is honestly what happened. Im not using any scripts.

I know a persons word is worthless over the internet but if you would give me the benefit of the doubt, you will see no trouble out of me. I wouldnt fire like that again for fear of being banned.
I like skial.com and havnt been playing tf2 for long, but think I can contribute the to community for the better.
 
The way it works is it checks every frame to see if you can fire your pistol yet. If you fire your pistol the exact frame it becomes ready to fire again, then you are probably using auto-trigger.

There are frames 66 times a second, or every 0.015 seconds. The plugin only bans you if this happens 20 times. I can't even get it to happen once.

I am testing the auto-trigger detection on the test server at kc1.skial.com.

So far I cannot get it to falsely detect me, either by holding down the fire button, or clicking every time it is ready to fire. Anyone else here is welcome to try it with me.

To quote the developer of the addon that banned you:
It's different on this module. For one detection to show up, you have to be detected 10 times internally before any signal is given. Each internal detection expires after 5 seconds, which means they have to happen very close together as well.

It takes four "signals" before action is taken, and this was before he increased the threshold. Seems pretty unlikely to be a false positive, no?

You're certainly not the first engineer to sit around all day spamming his pistol. As a frequent player of the spy class I can say with certainty that it's a common practice, can you explain why you're the first person to have trouble with it? I suppose it's possible this plugin was just recently added, you'll have to wait for bottiger regardless so I suppose we'll find out then.
 
You guys obviously know what you are doing and run a top notch service here. Browsing the threads Im sure you put up with bullshitters and liars on a daily basis. i'm not one of them. I dont know if this was a freak occourance that would happen one-in-a-million times, but my account of what happend is entirely accurate. I am on the kc1.skial.com server and have been unable to recreate the ban, but what I said is the truth. I care enough about playing on skial to keep trying to convince you this is what happened, but it doesnt appear to be working. I know it may seem unlikely but it is what it is.

I'd say based on the lack of reports of false positives and our inability to replicate the issue he's guilty of cheating. Whether or not he gets a second chance I won't comment on.

If I may ask, how long has this particular plugin been active?
 
Been spamming refresh for like 2.5 hours now hoping someone could offer up an explanation other than cheating. For some reason it bugs the shit out of me to have a ban, especially on my fav server. But especially when I didn't cheat. Maybe I should take it as a sign that I need to branch out an try some more maps and game types. Out of nearly 200 hours played now, feels like 95% have been on that same map, on that same server lol.

I cant really be convincing against the math, so I will just chill a little bit and maybe it will work itself out or Maybe this is the start of my pro DOTA career.

But I have to say, a supposed hacker name "easymode" does not bolster my confidence in him.

It was meant to taunt people who say I like to pick the classes that take no skill to play. (MMO days). Now that you mention it, doesn't do me any favors in this thread haha.
