Why was I banned?

Hi, I haven't been on steam for at least a week now (about 7 days now.) Anyways I went on to your server that hosts 2fort all the time, and I discovered I was banned. According to the source ban (NOTE THAT I had just said above that I haven't been on in like a week) that I was allegedly "micspamming." It doesn't note what was being micspammed or how. I don't even own a microphone so how could I possibly micspam?


I have never micspammed. I don't own a microphone PLUS I haven't been on in 7+ days due to my crappy computer.



I do share a computer internet network with other people but AGAIN nobody in this room owns a mic so how did they do this?

according to the link below I was micspamming without a mic. How is that possible?

Ok I made my profile public. If you are still curious you can look at it. I have a TF2 premium but I haven't logged into it for some time due to my computer going through some extensive reformating. Anyways here is the link to my steam profile.

Well that doesn't really help us. Sorry, I think you're going to have to wait out this ban. It came from the same IP so it was either someone you live with or you. Also, having a premium account means nothing.
 
Well can someone at least tell me what was being spammed? I haven't been given clear details. According to the Source ban there is a generic "micspam" label on it but I don't know what specifically.

Cool. Now can someone explain to me what specifically was being spammed. Generic "micspam" ban label like that doesn't really explain much.


As I said before I haven't been on in 7 days so I don't know who did what, when, or why.

Ok clearly you didn't read what I posted. I said I have a premium account it is just that I have been reformating my computer and I don't want to login to that yet. I know I was banned by default for having the same IP but people aren't explaining to me what specifically was being spammed. Is there a SPECIFIC citation?
 
you don't need a mic to micspam. there's programs like hldj or virtual audio cables with foobar that will allow you to play shitty dubstep music over the voice chat system

Whatever. I don't own a mic nor do I have HLDJ. I doubt the admins can do anything about this now. TF2 isn't even that fun. I guess I will play Halo or Morrowind.
