I'm having a problem where this white screen appears out of nowhere in my laptop for 2 weeks now. It's been annoying me so much :'(

I'm running my laptop in a Safe Mode

Can anyone solve this for me?

Provide specs if you can, and tell when the problem occurs (at reboot, before login, after log in, ...). Don't know much about pc but if you provide more detailed intel it would be easier for computer specialists.

Jonathon, It can be a few different problems.

Make and model of laptop would be good to know.

When are you getting this white screen?
Does it flicker when you move the screen?
Have you tried hooking it up to an external monitor?
Did you update any drivers recently?

It could be anything from cable/connection issues, gpu issues to your cpu overheating.

Let's start with another question: what the fuck is a WHITE screen? I think before we start asking pointing questions and go for details we have to establish a clear understanding of what the fuck the white screen is. I've been in IT for over 12 years and I have never heard of a term like that. Google fails to return anything either (except of THIS one).

Lol, well I translated it as his laptop screen was doing something like this this....When you have small children trying to explain things to you on a daily basis, you learn to decipher things.

From my experience, it's the video card processor that has lost it solder from the board. Or at-least it was the 4 or so times it happened to laptops i have fixed. Nothing dismantling it and a heat gun can't fix. Temporarily.

Yes, I have re-flowed boards/vid cards by sticking them in a toaster oven. Handy trick.
