i think the first one i ever remember playing on my own was pokemon diamond on my ds lite when i was 7. i remember picking up my copy at a circuit city my pop pop worked at, because my sister let me play hers and pretty much got me into the series haha
though i owned a GBA SP, a GameCube, then soon after a Wii, so i cant really pinpoint my exact first game i ever played. pokemon diamond is the one i remember playing the most, even though i also owned pokemon fire red and leaf green at the same time. even a copy of pokemon red. definitely one of those games.

also owned an old computer with some disk games, like freddi fish, putt putt, ect. i had a LOT of access to games early and tbh, couldn't tell you mu definitive first ever game i ever played.

sorry for the text wall, typing as i think about it, haha :)

I grew up with a lot of First person shooters(and other PC games as well), when I was little. Late 90's and early 2000's were such magical times.

(Now I do wish to see indie boomer shooters get made using the Quake 3 engine!)

I acquired some classics from a second hand video game shop a few weeks ago.

Driver 2 (PS1), Simpsons Road Rage (PS2). I recently had my sister visit, we're both in our 30s now and live in different countries, but playing Road Rage again was nostalgia at its finest.

i remember being like 4 or something and playing Trackmania Nations Forever on an old laptop we once had
it was just amazing, and one of the game OSTs (Stadium TicTac Remix) genuinely had me crying my 4y/o self's eyes crying because of how peak it was (back then i thought it was really sad for some reason?) i loved, and still love this ancient game, despite some of it's inconvenient bugs
