I have a super old Gateway laptop that I'm not using at all.
What should I do with it? Like turn it into a server, etc.

I also have a CR-48 Chromebook, and it has miserable specs, don't know what to do with that either.

The positive with that is even if the world is doomed and the internet is plugged out, you can still access some (by then pretty vintage) porn. Gotta plan for the future.

That is definitely a possibility, I would just prefer to use it for something than scrap it.

Try out Puppy, it's a bit more user friendly than DSL from my experience, since it has its own package manager.

I simply disassembled and made a shrine to my deceased, loved one. 1 GIG RAM on left, 2 GIG stick on right, HDD under it all, topped off with the sound card. When I build my new computer, I will carry on the legacy of my friend by installing his RAM and transferring his files. TOSHY LIVES ON!!
