Dude. Seriously i go to a really "smart" highschool one of the top in the city. And if any freshman wore a suit with a suitcase on the first day of school they will have a horrid 4 years. I want to be a lawyer when I grow up so, a suit is me. If I tried to be someone im not I would be a 90 pound woman

I dont know if your being legit or not. I have yet to find a kid who had an enjoyable highschool experience that wore a suit wotg briefcase. If you wanna impress your teachers branding yourself as "that kid who wears a suit to school" isnt the way.

But there is places where its appropriate and then there is the first day of 9th grade.

You dont want to make that 4 year lasting impression of being a kiss up or worse a snob. Everyone will be cautious to not stand out negatively. You should want to feel comfortable and be able to adjust to the new surrounding by letting your personality show, not a suit. :)
