is it possible to insert a plugin that slowly kills people once they aren't doing any damage? i remember another VSH server having this plugin and it motivated people to actually go out and do something, this would also deal with people that hide, people that are afk, and generally people that aren't much credit to team.

i was thinking of a timer on about 90~ seconds, you have to reach a certain damage threshold (let's say 50 damage), if you don't break 50 damage after 90~ seconds, your life slowly drains until you do an X amount of damage; at which points you'll stop dying; and the timer will start ticking again, resetting every time you do damage.

hale could of course hide and wait for people to bleed out; but it would stress people to get off their asses and do something (maybe hale could get outlined for people that are getting drained/nearing an expired timer, as if he was hit by a sniper rifle).

this is what i believe the plugin was like, i think it would be a nice addition to a better experience on VSH.
 
i personaly think this isnt a bad idea at all, but i think their should be some restrictions because if i understand it right some classes like engi and spys have a real disadvantage...
I also have the feeling their will be a lot of trolling: saxton running and hiding around so evryone dies slowly

anyway, i like the concept

spies should always be on the prowl and can do the damage required, engineers are more prone to setting up base and camping though; maybe the numbers could be tweaked for him specifically as a class. maybe hale could also lose health once he hasn't killed somebody in a while so it'll be less inviting to just run around and hide constantly.

well, that could do... but then there is also the medic.... the damage of the one who he is healing should also count i guess
 
This isn't needed, the AFK plugin should dump them to spectator after a certain amount of time.

Votekick? If this person is afk and using a script to avoid being forced to spectate, then use the votemenu to kick them or call for an admin to remove them for the game.
 
Uh, scout problem there. Sometimes its hard to get 50 damage in 90 seconds, same with spy.
 
how is it hard? everytime i played hale it was incredibly easy to get dmg done with scoot

I used to use the soda popper.


Not hard anymore with the Shortstop though, and the pistol crits are heaven.

Usually depends on the map.

i allways kill friendly spy crabs and every one trying 2 be friendly
its team fortress 2 not friend fortress 2 plus they are just taking space if u wanna spy crab or be friendly they should go to idle servers and trade servers
