it already stops superjumping hales dead in their tracks, and if it doesn't do that then it's sending them backwards, what more do you want? 600 damage so that people who can consistently land amby headshots have no reason to use the knife?

If anything, nerf it.
Nearly nobody tries going for backstabs anymore.

They're like snipers with infinite Razorbacks, you approach them once, they go invisible, tank a hit and fly away to their next health pack to start it all over again.

because backstab damage has been nerfed into the ground?? or because there's other ways to score 500 damage with far less risk involved??
backstab damage has been an absolute joke for over a year and a half now, the only way for backstab damage to be decent would be something like 3000 max, but only if you have less than 4 spies, and then reduce the backstab damage by around 250-500 per additional spy, all the way down to 1500. but it will go back up by 250-500 every time a spy dies. because if you keep backstab damage at 3000 with virtually no way of reducing it, everyone's just going to go spy because of the potential 3000 damage backstab.
