Its like 2025, the usual slurs have gotten more creative, and more prone to bypassing methods being made for em. Its gotta so bad as simple as typing "nga" is easy enough to slip through even something like Roblox kids are doing it. I think it would be best if some of y'all take a long look at how ABSURB the official Racial Slur Database has gotten to the point there is triple digit worth of the N for each race. I also think it is high time "tranny" or "trannies" is added to it since the TF2 playerbase has gained quite a sizeable amount of transitioning players and lots of people are just very aggressive to em for no rational reason to the point people are now getting stalked server to server and their profiles mimicked to cause drama over it.

No. Terms that are permitted like "gayle" will be taken as a serious offense to grab every possible example there is.

I just cannot let that happen. Tightening auto-mute would not be humane on Skial's culture and will result in more turnover. Where is the consideration of the declining playerbase? What proof is there that players are leaving because of automute not being strict enough?
It is not present in your suggestion and would like to observe a fallout being occurred due to this if present.

Why are we comparing ourselves to other communities that are rated in different ESRB labels anyway? Roblox? Rated T?

This is the same community that still busts a gut at someone randomly joining into a server and either typing out penis or just saying cock into the VC. The same community born from a game where they all laugh the second something has jiggle bones in their model.
All I am asking for the auto-mod to include is bypasses for racial slurs and common handoff slurs people are using now like "tranny/trannies". If that is such a massive ask that is more telling about your stance on the matter.

Slurs are strong language. GTA 5 is rated 'M' and has hundreds of voicelines with slurs.

I never had a problem with muting people for using slurs in a negative context but muting anyone just because they said a word regardless of context is dumb. It was only a few years ago that you could say "fag" in the chat without getting muted... Need I remind you all of what happened with Zombie Escape when people were getting muted left, right and center just for saying "laserfag"?

I do admit, perhaps i did not do research and they are considered to be for m mature ratings, but it does not justify players to start saying fucked things because their game says so!

If that is a barrier, take it with them. Unless you are suggesting that the ESRB label should be forged to your liking because thats how it should be, then that's not up to discussion. Contact the Entertainment Software Rating Board.

You can add words and make presumptions on my stance all you want. It's not my mission to blast out slurs because that is not who I am. It's my mission to make sure Skial doesn't tank further.

Gayle would not be considered a mute unless if its used as in a homophobic context and it also does not have the f slur with it too. Also once again people could just use alternatives if they really just want something similar to “gayle” but making sure it isn’t representing homophobia in anyway!

I don’t agree with some stuff the admins do, but this suggestion is just cracking down on bypasses so malicious people(especially the fucked ones in DE) just so they don’t try to harass a minority group and would also keep the community to be friendly. This would not kill the server faster

And also TF2’s community is childish and i have seen childish behavior like back in the day we had war with the Overwatch community on which is the better game including that one Reddit meme post which is highly known as childish behavior!

This community is known as being the one infested with donators that use scripts thanks to so many videos showing it, the community that is known to have had a pinned forum post showing off a vac-proof wallscanner from gamebanana to show how to mic spam, the community still known for an admin telling a kid to call his father the hard R in VC. We are sinking because we are not doing anything to help ourselves beside sit and hope something happens for us.

If the person is black saying that then that’s ok as i do believe reclamation exists. If they’re white saying this then they should get muted

Also at the same time Skial has the rights to take down any slur mentioned in the chat as malicious people could try to be malicious with it!

I would say "nothin whats crack a lackin" so you would feel welcome in and not singled out into a report to enhance your experience.

May I also remind you all that Valve literally added a chat filter in 2020 that is enabled by default which filters out slurs so you don't see them.
