As title implies... I am trying to donate but when I try, it says "Please put a valid steam profile link so we can identify you for perks." I have followed the instructions pretty well I think.

http://steamcommunity.com/id/****

That is from copy/paste in the steam UI window address bar. "Right click profile / copy link address" doesn't copy anything to my clipboard.

I have tried it without http:// also. When I tried this, to the right of the "your steam profile" box, "The profile link is bad. Check for typos" came up. But it didn't when I left it in. Still didn't work.

i have seen it before.
Sometimes it doesn't work in FF but it works in IE.
must be something in the settings, but don't know what exactly

i just tried your link (i use FF).
after copy paste the link and go with cursor to the next field, nothing happens.
i need to use F5 to refresh the page, before the form works.

My main browser is Firefox and I made sure it worked in Firefox.

I think the problem is that Steamcommunity.com goes down and our webpage can't double check your profile.

Before when we only used SteamIDs, there was no need to contact Steamcommunity, but it led to alot of people entering the wrong SteamIDs.

it does work, but not instantly.
the steamID is checked after you hit F5.

maybe adding a button to start the ID check is an idea?
